Not possible at the moment. BB has not released the necessary info. Best way is to secure the phone with a password. If you want to hand it to someone, anything goes!
Which is quite sad. Android has loads of options for apps that do the same. I, myself, am on the lookup for an app that locks apps.

Make a constructive request for password protection to respective devs of the apps for which you desire locking.
