Wondering if we can turn on a flash notification on the Z10? I like to have my face down so there aren't any accidents and lots of times it's on silent. If there is a way please let me know how to do it.

    Cheers

Interesting concept. Not sure there's an app for that already, but I presume it could be done.

Two issues I can foresee. Very annoying, and a massive battery drain.

Someone yesterday posted the flashing app on one thread. I was questioning its requirement. Now I understand!

The iPhone does that because they don't have a proper notification LED. I can tell from across the room whether or not I have a message waiting.

as far keeping it face down because of accidents, i understand, but personally i would probably be more likely to drop it if i'm constantly flipping the device over to check messages, then back over again to wait for the next notification. face up, you can see the notification LED and to check messages it's only a swipe away without ever picking up the phone. barring an earthquake or some other random act of God i'd say it should be safe face up on the table.

Fancy notification can already do this. But I still have not rolled it out because of some bbm message issues but works fine for sms.and email

Thanks for the replies, I still haven?t figured it out.

When in meetings I don't like to keep phone in my pocket. And when I'm concerned about accidents, some times it others or myself that drop something or more importantly I don't want people to see who is calling or texting. And if we are on a conference call it is muted. This is not a necessity just a convenience.

But I will have to try it.
