We are glad to hear that there is a user-based tutorial for side-loading, however - remember that we are working on a native BB10 app. This requires careful development and testing, working with RIM, and thinking about the future as well (assuring compatibility with new versions of BB OS, future BB10 devices, etc.)

Unfortunately we still don't have big news to share. Know that we're still on it, and we are aware of the great anticipation among our fans (we share this anticipation, as you can understand).

i have sideloaded it works fine ..except i cant see my contacts..exactly like the sideloaded versions of whats app at first.unless they send me a message i cant see them.i can however send me txt and call but i have to manually type theri number

Viber also got banned in Saudi Arabia... whatsapp will be banned within a month and skype will also be banned...

We are examining ways of handling these blocks, but we don't have any official announcement yet. We are learning their nature, and seeing what can be done (if at all) to help our users in blocked countries.

Well here's the video that I said I would upload and it works great! I've been using it all day!

Can you tell me from where did you download the Viber apk file? I'm having trouble using it. When I searched for a name and click on it to make a call i get the following error. This happened on my Q10 running 10.0.1.4285 and on my Z10 running 10.1.0.2354

Are you working on making sure the version is compatible with Z10 and Q10 at the same time. Cause I sideloaded the version on both my Q10 and Z10 . ON Z10 it is working, but on the Q10 i think most of the screens are cut off. Like if I dial a number when the Dial Pad is opened, I can't see it and the results are not shown for me to choose from.



And when I choose a name from the main screen I get the following error (I know it is not your fault now as it is a sideloaded version, but at least you make sure this doesn't happen with the native app)

If you use the recent script that xsacha posted, your viber apk will run in the background. As long as it doesnt force close error.

I dont know if its just me, but my im using v2.3.6 and it works better for me than the latest version

Sideloaded 3.0 using the new method and it works sooo smoothly (better than skype) not only that but it actually recognized all my contacts from my phone too!

Here is a screen shot showing that I am running 3.2 and I am confirming once again that it runs in the background and it utilizes hub notifications. Used sasha's method to convert and sign the 3.2 apk which you guys can look up on Google (that's what I did).
