I was looking for an Android store "front end" that is recommended sometimes in the forums, but I can't seem to locate. Can anyone confirm?

I remember Aptoide and Fdroid mentioned before but I'm not sure of the best option. Pretty sure one of them had malware so want to avoid.

I used Cobalt for awhile and appreciated the work but am not interested in that option.

    Any help is appreciated!

APKPure is a great alternative to Google Play/Amazon.

https://www.apkmirror.com/ and for open source https://f-droid.org/ . Both safe and worthwhile if you don't want Google Play Services.

OP; Perhaps you were looking for Yalp which is an open-source front end app to the Playstore. Get it from F-Droid.

ApkMirror is really nice because they host old versions of apps which often huge for BB10 as app updates can break compatibility with the old 4.3 runtime.

Generally I'm very content with APKPure but if there's one thing they could improve then I'd say server speed. Most of the time their server speed is okay, but every now and then their server tends to temporarily slow down so downloads take a bit longer to finish then.

Yalp is what I was looking for! Thanks a lot -- to you and to everyone who replied.

You could use literally any Android Store you want. You can search the web for pros / cons and security issues regarding those shops. I mean it has nothing to do with BlackBerry per se.

For me, Aptoide works pretty well.

Filled my Amazon Fire phone with all the apps I need from various sites. All work great. But never took the risk with any of my BB10 phones.

Thanks for the heads up. I installed APK Pure and it is a much better alternative. It will load the last working APK for your phone, a great system. Also runs much smoother.

For some reason, it was always suggested by others to NOT use 1Mobile but I don't remember the exact reasons. It's been awhile so perhaps someone with better memory can explain again.

In all fairness, I used 1Mobile and had no problems that I'm aware of.

basically 1Mobile has no QC on app submissions nor any way to verify them. There are better options.
