We have a new BES 12 deployment and are trying out a Work space only deployment. I'm trying to figure out how to remove/disable the social media apps since they appear in the work space (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). The only way I can think of how to do this is to delete the applications before I hand out the phones. I would have thought since there is a way you can add apps there would be a way to remove some of the apps which are installed by default in a work space only deployment. Any help would be appreciated.

Most (all?) of the social media apps can be disabled via the IT Policy.

I don't think that is correct. While you can add/delete apps from the app list you create I do not see any option to remove apps other than BBM, camera, service provider apps, joyn I don't see anyway to remove other apps from a work only deployment. Instead of taking a guess at the answer, is there anyone that also has BES 12 deployed that is able to provide some insight.

Dan2337 asked this same question on the BlackBerry Enterprise Support forums and several people provided the relevant answer.

And Dan for the record I do have manage an BES5, BES10, and BES12.1 environment - I was just going on memory which is not always the most reliable thing in the world ;-)
