    I really don't want to call and ask Bell, cause I don't want to bring it to their attention.

    But I have an unlimited data pack on my z30 that was grandfathered.

    I have used the hot spot feature to try it out and have not been billed, but I am afraid to push it too hard in fear of all of a sudden having a large charge.

    So, basically I am wondering if anyone has any experience in this matter and/or some advise.

    I agree don't push it for sure! What is their current policy regarding tethering and/or hotspot?

    Hey guys.

    So far I have tried it a few times for the past few months.
    I have made notes about it in case I need to draw upon those notes.

    I have not been charged yet and I have had a bunch of billing cycles

    I don't want to take advantage of it, but I want to know if I can use if need be.

    I did just that for my visiting brother with an indo phone plan. So we hot spotted and it was great.

    I believe their current plans include hot spots

    So far so good, just wondering if anyone else has had experienced Bell hot spot on their data plans and how it shows on their detailed bill regardless if they are charged or not.

    Hey I too am on the unlimited grandfather plan on my Z10. I've been using hot spot daily for over a year on my ipad drinking my morning coffee at Tims. I haven't encountered no extra fees.

    This last month I hit almost 6 gb. I never ever use wifi.

    Quick question for you. Are you on the h+ network or the LTE? Bell refuses to put me on the LTE plan. So I figured unlimited data with H+ is just fine even if I have to wait couple of extra seconds. Can't win them all I guess.

    Same here. They wouldn't upgrade me to Lte either. H+ is pretty quick, around 22mbps so, I'm happy with that.. I wish I had unlimited lte though

    I even went through the cell phone complaints agency... I forget the name off hand.

    But good to know that you use it daily.
    I usually hit 7-8 GB per month just on normal use...checking my business security cams, baby cam and streaming music

    Can you tell from your monthly bill I'd they separate out your hot spot data, even though they don't charge you?

    One of those things that of they track it separately, they can all of a sudden throw the switch and start charging

    I guess I should use it more often when the need arises.

    No there is no separation of data used. It's just under the same column in billing. But I'm guessing my iPad is using at least 25% of it. If not more.

    So I recently tried to hot spot my Asus Transformer and the Z10 says that restrictions in my country prevent this from happening.

    I used the hot spot for my pb and laptop all the time, but haven't done so for the last 2 months... has something changed?
