Seems like it hits on some points that BB and MS share on trying to gain more traction
As a BB10 user. I'm not that dulusional. I think in logic. Things change very fast. And also Its too early to judge that. But right now WP is currently winning over BB10 based on what's going on right now. Like e.g I thought that BB10 will come on top but unfortunately I don't see that happening anymore apparently. Cause things for BB are looking so depressing for them

Lol...to be fair it was tongue in cheek, but that's the entire point. Anyone can post sensationalist titles and perpetuate the rhetoric...is it true? perhaps. :).
Enjoy your weekend everyone.

That article seems to explain the state of Windows Phone (somewhat inaccurately) and would be perfect for explaining why its failing, but seems rather inconsistent with a platform which doubled sales YoY.
Its like the articles which explained why the iPhone would fail and Blackberry would succeed, like the lack of real multi-tasking and a keyboard.
In the end the real test of a hypothesis is to see if it predicts reality, and unfortunately his do not.
Sorry, disagree...10 months ago WP was dismissed as dead (same as BB) what a difference a year makes...don't you think?

This is ridiculous. The thread title "Windows Phone failing miserably against BlackBerry" and original post has nothing in common with the quoted article.
Leave that aside for the moment. The author, who to his credit self-identified as a Nokia fanboy, cites six major problems with the Windows Phone platform.
If you were to read the article, five out the six problems are also BlackBerry problems. And arguably for these five, BlackBerry has the worst of it.
Disagree...nice try though.

Dude you can't say that they're failing even though they are gaining market share against BB and also outselling them as well. So no they are not failing right now
Also are you saying that getting second place in Latin America is failing?? Because if you say yes are ********
You are right. The only think which silenced the critics somewhat was improved sales, and the same would apply for Blackberry.
When things go poorly people invent reasons why, but there is no way of really knowing if those are the reasons or not. When they go well people also invent reasons why.
I mean, lets look at the NL 520 - its a pretty poorly specified handset, and if it was not selling so well people would be roundly dismissing it.
Nothing succeeds like success.
WP isn't going to be dead because MS can just operate at a loss (or not much gain) for 5-10 years without batting much of an eye. That doesn't mean it is (or will be) doing very well by any standards though...
These six major problems of your also seem to exist in Blackberry universe too. And so called "Halo Effect" is somehow accepted by most consumer as Lumia 520 become such a big hit. For Google service we have already been living without them or live with third party app forever and it doesn't seem to slow down the steady grow of the market share. That is Nokia's strategy: Lumia 1020 build Hype, Lumia 520 build Market
just in case you don't know:
Lumia 10xx Series = PureView line up
Lumia 9xx Series = High end, great display, great camera, PureView Technology,
Lumia 8xx Series = High end, great display
Lumia 7xx Series = Affordable with mid range spec
Lumia 6xx Series = even more affordable
Lumia 5xx Series = Entry level,
And Yes! I use Windows Phone
Their not done yet. In my opinion Windows and BB are in their infancy stage right now. Maybe a step higher then infancy but I assume you get the point.

WP has been around for quite a while actually and has already had major revisions...
It comes down to endurance and brand perception. . . WP has staying power because of Microsoft's funding , BlackBerry on the other hand is has limited funding hence less staying power. . . WP has better brand perception because. . . again Windows. . . BlackBerry has almost horrific Brand perception (In the US particularly but it's not pretty in other places either. . .) The only edge BB has is its installed base . . . If BB can get the majority of their older OS users on BB10 devices then they call at least live to fight another year. . .
Very true, you have a point there.

As a fan of WP i hate to say WP7 is a half-baked OS. WP8 is a new operating system base on Window NT.
To me this is huge. And they cant seem to get people to move up to the new OS. I know the reasons are pretty straight forward too: Price and lack of BIS
I agree with you there, lack of BIS sucks coming from legacy to OS10. Price isn't much of an issue is the States and Canada but elsewhere it deffinitely is...

Windows is great but i don't like the setup. I'm still like Blackberry but WIndows is right there knocking on the door. They should team up to overtake Apple and Android.
WP has two 1080P phones set to release in Nov. One is a six inch phablet. Nokia currently has about 12 codenamed phones on their list, which means they will be in production in about six months or the next year. That is hardly the pace of a company and eco system failing. I have nothing against BlackBerry and wish they would get their head out of their ***, but truth is truth. Windows is different and it works for more people everyday. And if they were failing, how come they are getting support from instagram and stuff now? They are growing, and faster than you realize.
Too me, this is a blatant failure at a troll based off an irrelevant article that is not based on correct information. And it is not a thread that is helping Blackberry.....
But the article clearly states issues...

Actually, Windows Phone has taken over BlackBerry in 3rd place. BB is now 4th.
Text the author...please don't shoot the messager.

Nokia is all-in on WP. So yeah as long as they have $$ they aren't going to stop making WP devices, that would be suicide.
Instagram so far is roughly the same as where BB10 was when they said Instagram was coming (and with the leak apps from time to time).
