My guess is that Thor is playing a bit of "role reversal" and chumming the shark-laden waters with some "newsworthiness" to stir up a feeding frenzy! I think it's the classic boxing "feint-move". One fake punch (or weakness) to the left, wait for the opponent to react and POW...uppercut to the chin!!!

This could be a prelude to something really positve and great for BB!

    BB Rocks!

    Go BB!

Because of the possibility of a buy out. When this occurs it usually comes at a share premium, and if currently have no position with BB, it would be likely higher than it is now. That's *mostly* why the sudden interest.

Also the possibility of a buyout forced market members to evaluate the true value of the company at present.

Or maybe shorts covering because of the announcement today. If BB goes private or is sold stock price will most likely go up some more.

Average volume was 24 million, today volume was almost 93 million.

Don't worry, pullback will bring it back below 10.

High? It used to be over 10 times its value today. It is very low.

BBRY fundamentals are grim, but the market is to some degree ignoring this at the moment and concentrating on a possible premium offered in a buyout deal.

    True Value....?

If last years offer was going to be $8 a share and they couldn't come up with the money to make that offer. Do you belive that someone is going to offer more now? I bet that group from last year are patting themselves on the back thinking how they just dodge a bullet.

The stock is up right now because people want to believe that if there is a buyout, that it will be for MORE than the current value of the stock today. But that only happen IF they are in real negations and their is anything looming in the future that might cause the value to decrease greatly....

Shorts running for the exits, some being forced to cover. It will go over $15 shortly.
