Any pieces of info/rumor that we can anticipate to have this pps move closer to $20 in the next 2 weeks??
Buyout/merger? Q10 release? another big order?
Today's movement sure was a step backwards...

Sadly, sometimes we have to rely on analyst upgrades to get things rolling.
It's odd how $260 mill worth of BB's from Telefonica didn't do squat for us, but the stock market rarely follows logic.
DoD contract could give us a nice bump if it happens (should).
Outside of that, a US carrier saying they were selling BB's better than expected. The launch of the Q10 will give a minor bump, but the problem is that it may just be in a few smaller select markets. Also, any early indication of sales of the Q10 as well. Licensing deals would be great, but unlikely right now.
Meh.....seems like you have April 20th options. My April options are going to expire worthless as well.....I had at least three opportunites to sell at a profit, but the greed monster held me back. It would take a miracle now....oh well....played with the house's money on those and lost out.
The next major catalyst will be Q1 results.....this is a great time to continue building a long position though...
Licensing of BB Lite for low cost BB10 hardware.
You're right I do have April 20 options. I had a couple occasions to bank on some profits.... especially the January run up.... i was up 15k and still slapping myself till this day for not exercising my options right before launch.... Oh well, indeed...
I read in an article somewhere that the USA Department of Defense will be announcing the winner of the RFP for secure phones and their management later this month (April 25th I think) with the potential of an 8 million device contract over time. Depending on how this goes it could materially move the stock up or down.

Is this it ?

No additional phones sales but still would be big news.
No, that's not the article I read, will dig it up and post a link.

If the news regarding an 8m device management contract ($100/year) per device doesn't move the stock price, I don't know what will. Furthermore BlackBerry is the only device that is FIPS-140 certified; something I believe is of extreme importance.
We are due to hear word, at the latest, on April 25th. Could be before, but it shouldn't be later. It seems as though BES10 was designed around the DoD's requirements. My thoughts: this contract has the potential of adding over $1.00 in EPS per share. That IS material, and it SHOULD be reflected in the stock price. Best of luck to the shorts on downplaying the success of a DoD contract. Their ignorance is truly remarkable...
Agree^^^
My fear is with the "symbolic" move by Apple to employ a couple hundred people on a production line in California ...that smells of political meandering. Hope I'm wrong.

The next earnings reports will make BBRY move, the question is which way. Just no major bad news will allow BB stock to slowly increase in value. The Q10 should provide some excitement I hope the BB got the keyboard right and there are no problems with it. I think the DoD will make a positive choice after the Q10 is introduced.

Just because this is from Apple doesn't mean it is untrue. Still BB needs to have DOD replace their current fleet with BB10's. I say go with great pricing !
Regardless, nothing competes with BlackBerry's security. The DoD will not compromise on this. The Q10 is going to be a Major hit in North America. Even if the DoD does opt to go with iPads or iPhones for certain units that require less security, the BES10 enterprise solution will allow BlackBerry to profit regardless.
DOD could probably replace all of their BB's for the Q10 for the cost of one or two airplanes. It would be a share mover if they did that.
Especially after recent report of missing devices, dod will not dare to go apple or anroid

You were going to do this ... otherwise your posting is similar to the recent China posting or the overblown German govt posting. Thanks
Couldn't find the original article that I read, but I did come across a number of other similar articles that make reference to the same information. Here is some good reading:
At DoD, a big step toward Apple and Android | Federal Times | federaltimes.com
This article makes reference to the 8 million device potential for eventual MDM management - this includes not just phones but other mobile devices as well, such as tablets and computers.
The initial scope of the RFP will be manage a few hundred thousand mobile devices, but that will grow over time for sure. Apparently the DoD currently has about 600,000 mobile devices, of which 470,000 are Blackberries.

This is a link to the actual RFP in question, for those that want to scrutinize the source document.
Wanted: Mobile Traffic Cop
Do I understand that DOD is planning to have their own system MDM from 2014 on, so they will have full control of the security aspect of all mobile devices no matter what make it is, and the employee will have choice of a list of devices as they wish. Almost like they will have a BES system of their own, so they will not need BB to supply BES at all? Am I on the right track?
Adam, if that turns out to be true, BlackBerry will face some serious hurdles! Won't be good at all! I'm freaking out now.
