Actually, I own small amounts of stock in both BlackBerry and Apple. Very exciting times for both companies. Looking forward to gains from both in the long term

Eventually people will tire of Apple products. They'll all be using BlackBerrys again, even those rowdy teenagers! :P

The industry is so difficult to survive in. Look at Motorola, they were once on top, followed by BlackBerry, then Apple. HTC, LG, ZTE, Lenovo (handset division) have all tried to get into the market let alone survive in it.

Apple did something innovative 10 years ago that everyone cloned 8 years ago. Now they are resting on their laurels..

As everyone praises apple and bashes blackberry.

That's why I own blackberry stock. You essentially have a company that is currently resting on their laurels and is being stupid and another that was resting on their laurels and is now proactive.

That's the competitive advantage I have over everyone. It's obvious that blackberry is heading somewhere. And it's obvious that apple is heading for the toilet.

Motorola is just a hardware company...

    Apple makes hardware
    Apple owns an App store
Apple owns on of (if not the) largest and most varied content stores
Apple creates and own their OS
Apple has control of their future, that Motorola never had.

Apple is not innovating. BB10 is a true second generation OS. Android will be on their second generation before Apple ever is.

Innovating is overrated - Taking a product (new or existing) and turning it into something that people WANT is how you make money.

As for 2nd Generation OS..... When after a year BlackBerry's 1GEN OS is still outselling it's new OS, does it really matter?

BlackBerry didn't have a choice, they were still using a dumb phone OS with some extra code added on.... it was capable of being what they needed. Is there something in iOS that you think an next generation will improve? Seems like it has moved to 64Bit pretty easily. Maybe you want more multitasking??? Personally I wish BB10 worked more like iOS or better yet the PlayBook OS when it comes to multitasking.

Still don't understand the differences in the PlayBook OS and BB10. Seems like they reinvented the wheel... And took too long doing it, and it still came out not ready after two years!

Apple is already in the toilet for many who are not weak minded to fall for apple wicked marketing brainwashing tactics. When apple user finally switch to any other smartphone they quickly realize that the iphone is years behinds the competition. It's a fact fanboys just don't understand

Toilet? Think it's a belief that only a fanboy from another platform would like to believe.

Apple on Wednesday reported its results for the second fiscal quarter of 2014. The company posted a profit of $11.62 per share on revenue totaling $45.6 billion, topping Apples own revenue guidance of between $42 billion and $44 billion for the quarter. Apples results crushed analysts consensus estimates, which were looking for earnings of $10.18 per share on $43.53 billion in sales according to Yahoo Finance.

In the same quarter last year, Apple managed a $9.5 billion profit on $43.6 billion in revenue.

Apples big moneymaker is always the iPhone and Wall Street expected Apple to sell 37.7 million handsets during the second quarter, though estimates varied by a wide margin. Actual iPhone sales came in at 43.7 million units.

The company reported March-quarter iPad sales totaling 16.35 million tablets, which missed the Streets consensus of 19.7 million units by a massive margin.
Is Apple facing some stiff competition from Android.... YES! Are they in the toilet... they aren't even in a building with a toilet at this point.

Motorola is just a hardware company...

Apple makes hardware That is designed to work with other Apple Products
Apple owns an App store That only works with Apple products
Apple owns on of (if not the) largest and most varied content stores That only works on Apple products
Apple creates and own their OS That only works on Apple prodcuts
Apple has control of their future, that Motorola never had. Only if people keep buying Apple products

Not saying BBRY is better than Apple, but I don't believe Apple should warrant the highest market cap.
