Thor said 60% 2/3 was moved. So:
    feb-mar 600,000 660,000
apr-june 2.4 million (Thor said "almost", so 35.5%)

    That 's good, isn't it?
    No.

It's not that bad if you compare to what they said earlier but it's below what market was expecting...expectations would be very low for next quarter

Q10 must be a solid performer and the Q5 must be strategically priced to sell in large numbers .....

After conference call Im a little disappointed in BBRY and now my stock is down 25%. They seemed like they did not want to give out any numbers to shareholders who technically own the dam company. Secrecy causes rumours bad ones and panic also, smarten up Thor.

No way to shake it ... the quarter delivered a lot of disappointments.

    - Revenue was up sequentially (probably the only noteable news of a positive note), reversing a trend of declining revenues. I guess you could say the cash improvement was a positive as well.

    - They had a loss. Even though for a company the size of BlackBerry, a hundred million earned or lost on $3 billion in revenue is in 'breakeven' territory, the optics are still the same ... they lost money after making money last quarter.

    - BlackBerry 10 was pretty anemic, with only 40% of shipments being the new devices. I was surprised the BlackBerry 7 devices only declined by 500,000 though.

    - The subscriber rate fell again, this time by 4 million subscribers

    - They had a materially impacting situation in Venezuela. Without that, they probably would have broke even, but it happened.

    - They broke their promise to deliver BlackBerry 10 to PlayBook. To me, this signals that PlayBook is officially dead. It will be 'supported' for a while if people call in, it will still be sold if people want the existing models and there is stock, but it's done to me.

Not bad hope the market sees this as a good thing and not spin it in some way
I just sold my stocks in BB I lost all hope for blackberry losing 4 million customers and posting a lost of 84M $ is horrible... It doesn't take a genius to know that when a platform launches the shipments are going to go up... 13% isn't enough

Not bad, are we serious here?!?! Not even 3 million! Only 40% of those 6.8 million were BB10 devices! That's truly 2.7 million! It's all sorts of horrible.

Oh they got around to all the numbers this time, regardless of how ridiculously indirect, but don't expect any in the future from the mouth of Thor and all others on the call...

Wasn't this regarding service revenue not being recognized due to the issue in Venezuela with them being unable to collect in US dollars or collect right now due to government?
