Last Week in the news, "US embarrassed by apparent hacked phone call dismissing EU on Ukraine"
    WERE IS Blackberry on this?
They should have jumped on this, should have put out a bulletin saying if the both used a blackberry device this would have never happen.
    Am I wrong?

This was a voice call, BlackBerry does not offer any added protection there (unless you use BES and MVS and even then).

But they mention Blackberry in the article and people presumed they got hacked because they were using a Blackberry.

Blackberry can't be jumping in on every security related story to toot their own horn.

Presumption yes, but technically accurate. They were almost certainly using a BlackBerry for the call, State Department has a TON.

CrackBerry should do an article addressing all the how-to and why questions regarding security on their blackberry 10 devices. Or Blackberry themselves should issue an article in an ad campaign saying "In light of all the recent security breaches etc etc yadda yadda" and then proceed to toot their own horn and go on to say how secure their devices are in an time where the commoner's information is so easily accessible and vulnerable blah blah blah BlackBerry provides its users with the best security and so forth. Heck, they can even put in that quote from Obama saying how he (is forced to) use the BlackBerry for said reasons. You'd be surprised how easily influenced my generation is when you throw in words like NSA , SNOWDEN, WIKILEAKS and OBAMA and attach them to a cause, issue or handheld device.
