    Anyone got any predictions?

My totally uneducated gut feel is:

    7-8 million devices

Likely fairly even between BlackBerry 10 and legacy devices with Z10 still rolling out internationally, Q10 starting to ship and no Q5 at all in the quarter. I'm hopeful but uncertain that we'll hit 4 million BlackBerry 10 devices in the quarter

No idea what to call on PlayBook. I predict maybe 50-100,000 and an announcement that they'll stop breaking out separately, and/or the "WiFi version is 'sold out'".

I'm anticipating profitability, but near breakeven

Not sure what to call on the global user base. Hopefully 76 - 78 million but may have declined again

Maybe they'll do an app announcement update too on the # in App World. Could see them making a fuss if the count is now, say - 150,000 because of the optics vs. Windows Phone

I am going to be bullish and say 10-12 million BlackBerry 10 sold with a subscriber base of 80 million. Earnings per share of $0.80 beating expectations.

Wow! I thought I was bullish in thinking it's probably between 5-7 million devices, no change in subscriptions, surprising BES numbers, and around $.35 a share.

lol i hope your right, wouldn't that send the stock sky high. maybe if both the Q10 and Z10 were availible all over the world as of the begining of the quarter but i don't really see this happening, although i hope it does

I doubt PlayBook would have sold that much as it has been taken off the market for some time now . Also subscribers is a major concern as the bears will use it to beat down the stock if it is anything less than last report. I agree on BB10 though, expect nothing but good news out of it. I really hope they surprise us like they did couple quarters back about subscribers though. Cmon 80!

Damn, if your right I'm about to make a lot of money!!

IMHO sales of BB10 devices will range from 4-5 million unit. I definitely see the subscriber base shrinking dramatically (although I wish otherwise).

    5M BB10, 3M BB7, -10M subs.
    EPS +0.30
Hoping i'm wrong about the subs...

Edit: lose ~13 old subs, gain 8M, thus -5M. :P

i don't know about this, not if resent canadian marketshare pose true, where it grew more then 50% in a few months. if thats the case then subscriber base could actually go up seeing as canadas smartphone market is pretty high with regards to its over all population, so this could be about amillion new BB subs

True, but we really have no idea how many subscribers BB has actually lost in other countries. Canada is BBs home turf after all...

Doesn't mean anything. Canada likes to follow the Americans at least tools do. But I think the only serious market where bbry has lost ground is the USA but some market share reports show its more or less the same. I don't see them losing to many subs they may have increased. At least I hope

I wouldn't make such a sweeping statement as it's definitely available in corporate channels as well as retail channels in certain markets.

Just put down on paper what I think for BB10 my numbers were this for just Canada Uk and Usa

    March - Can | UK =1 million
    April - Can | UK | USA = 1.2 Million
    May - Can | UK | USA = 800k (Z10)
    Can | UK = 700k (Q10)

So I'm at 3.7 BB10 from just Canada UK and USA without the rest of the world. Also even if its not as popular in the USA their numbers could seem big for us due to their population size. Could be a good day on Friday
