You both are still not being specific and providing lazy answers. Yes, Apple fixed that bug in just over 24 hours. Comparatively, 10.3.1 is bricking some Z30s, causing screen flickering in some Passports, and a significant security vulnerability has been discovered. Some carriers are scaling back on the update. Who knows when they will make the next update which addresses those issues available.

    Once again...your point?

Can you provide links and evidence as to which carriers are "scaling back" ??? And FYI, updates are available for most devices fixing the issues.

There was a thread about in on CB forums. And is the new update available from carriers already?

Might be part of the "BlackBerry Experience"...

I'm just not sure if an APP will provide the same "experience" as Blend does on a BlackBerry - even today the BBM experience on iOS and Android just does not compare to what BB10 users have.

Blackberry needs an android phone with google play. With this and all the great productivity features that blackberry have to offer they will not be able to keep up with demand.

You can have the blackberry experience built ontop of an android. Consumers don't care about security. Blackberry needs to divide the hardware business into two: enterprise and consumer. Give people the option and they will flock back to blackberry

Agree...and my hope is that is precisely what the "hub" app is...share the wealth (for 99 cents)....better and more secure with a BlackBerry device....even more secure with BlackBerry Protect for 33 dollars...and...yup, and...invite up 25 friends and protect EVERY conversation for 170 bucks a year.

Fleet sales in Canada also go through carriers, even the Federal Government. We are all hooked on the subsidies it seems since our carriers barely give anything at all of a discount of fees for non-subsidized devices.

I'm not seeing anything about Sprint having to pay Apple anything there. The article says, and doesn't go into specifics or cite a source. I'd be skeptical of your claim if that's the only evidence you have to back it up.
Apple's carrier contracts are under investigation in Canada...stay tuned.

Given the (once again) lower unit sales numbers from the last quarter, Blackberry continues to languish in the device market. With all the positive reviews of the Passport and event the Classic, they failed to make a dent towards the expected volumes.

Notionally, Blackberry should get around 20% of the global sales which today is roughly 26 million devices. They're currently about 10% of that number.

Few will be up to speed on BlackBerry products and order only online... imo

Where are these numbers coming from? Apple alone sold 74.5 million iPhones in the last three months in 2014. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-31012410

Chen has also mentioned his goal of selling 10 million phones in 2015, ie, 2.5 million per quarter, but BlackBerry hasnt been close to selling at that rate and only hit 1.6 million smartphone sales according to this Bloomberg report. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articl...reasing-prices

    Fellows,

Does anyone know that in China we have a lot of Blackberry fans? Even though they don't sell in mainland. And we can not use 4G internet, no apps (Wechat, QQ, Alipay....). We still love Blackberry!

Do you guys remember apple. It took 10 or more years to turn apple around.

Blackberry should be able to become a great success again. Just not today.

    IBM reinvented itself as well.

I hope the share price goes down even further. I would love to pick up some more at 5 dollars a share. I think John Chen strategy is on the right path. He has the experience and expertise to turn blackberry around.

It took apple 38 years to get to where they are. They were almost bankrupt a few times during that tenure

So if your expecting a miracle. Yes their will be. Just not today.
