The price reduction of Z10 is a good beginning.
Advertising heavily in US is not a good strategy and waste of money since BBRY has just got too much negative perceptions from US media.
Lower the price and take a lose on each phone sale, which will bring more users and attract more developers to BB10 platform.
Reducing the price to the point of losing money on hardware is not a good strategy. Not unless you can make it up on something else. BlackBerrys issue is there is nothing else, not for consumers to buy anyway.
More over there is not proof it will bring developers in the numbers needed to flesh out the apps selection to drive sales. They tried that with the PlayBook and it did not make enough of a difference.
