This bank has sorted out the issue. Upgrades start next week with devices older than 2yrs first, and 9900s last. Q10, Z10, Z30 are the phone options. My understanding is that they have around 9000 BlackBerry users.

Oh I'm 99.9% sure that the email blast pasted in the OP was 100% legit. And 99.9% sure your "friend" received the email end of November confirming refresh started this week. I have placed my order in to refresh my 9780!

Haha ... my "friend" hasn't gotten their personal message though to upgrade yet. Waiting on it and believe the Q10 will be the one. Personally, I would be going for the z30, but as we know ... folks just love the keyboard like Mr. Lazaridis.

My guess... we are the trolls. It's not in our place to give out the name of the bank. If the bank gives permission to bbry, I'm sure they will do a press release. With that said, it doesn't take much to figure it out. 5 big banks. Us Canadians know someone who works for one. RBC is on bb10 and that is public knowledge. So, TD, Scotia, BMO, and CIBC. One thing for certain is that bbry will have about 8-9k new bb10s out there for one of its long time clients. That is a signal showing it's confidence.

There is nothing abnormal about implementations and rollouts being delayed. Ask anybody in Release Management. If it was canned, I'd be worried.

You're totally right about that and banks are notoriously cautious about these sorts of things, it's one of the reasons that most banks still run pre-BB10 Blackberries. I wouldn't say it's anything to be worried about. I'll bet the majority of these issues are user problems.
