No, relative to the competition, BlackBerry does NOT make good products. I'm sorry but this false premise keeps getting repeated here, but its just not true.
You are tripping. They make great *** products. BB10 is amazing. If you think they have crappy products then speak for yourself. This is CrackBerry, not the iPhone and Android for Life Network.

And what I don't understand is where are the CB moderators when you need em?

Why do you say that? I'm actually tempted to buy more at the current price. But I will wait a moment. I have business plans to save some money for.

I don't think they have crappy products, that's not what I said. A phone is more than just the OS, it is also the hardware, apps, ecosystem, and support. Taken together with BlackBerry's failure to price correctly, I stand by my statement that BlackBerry products are not good relative to the competition. If BBs were as good or better, then sales would be much better also. This is just the current reality . Sure, it could get better, and one day BlackBerry could dominate the market. However, by almost every indication, things are getting worse (not better) and this is accelerating. I actually like John Chen but I just think its too late. If John Chen is the savior, then he already failed one of his first major tasks, which is to offer enough reassurance and keep Pfizer as BlackBerry customer.

@OTech#CB: There is an important rule that applies to investors: Do NOT EVER invest your money where you have an emotional attachment. It clouds your reasoning. BlackBerry's shares WILL continue to lose value, and you WILL lose money unless you think rationally.

I believe that BlackBerry will continue to live on for a while to come, but that doesn't necessarily mean its stock will rise much, if at all. Right now the share price is somewhere around $6.20. It can still drop down to $0.10. BlackBerry as a company will likely become very small and never (or not in a long time) rise again to where it was five years ago.

So I'll say it again, don't let your emotions cloud your reasoning. don't get me wrong; I have hope in BlackBerry too, but I'm not about to sink my money that I don't have where I'm bound to lose it. Like it was said by somebody else, it might increase in the short term, but in the long-term the chances are much slimmer.

My suggestion for you: get out while you can, or at least take out half of your investment. I'm not joking either.

Monday rumor: BlackBerry Z50 and Q30 scheduled to release in 2014 | CrackBerry.com

They're announcing new phones like never before. I am getting more and more confident in the company. I get what you two are saying, but imagine walking into one of the carriers and seeing 5 BlackBerry 10 devices, instead of just one. How likely do you think people are likely to look at one of those Berrys if not the whole line up? I am not emotionally clouding my reasoning, I am saying this is a chance to turn around. I don't see this guy as a failure, he came late, but that's about it. There has been more news out in the last 2 weeks then there has been in the last 2 months. And they're all about new phones, new specs, new BlackBerry. I'll keep looking at the market.

Well they're not out yet, and the Z10 is almost a year old. They're not going to turn down these phones if they release them.

I did. I said you guys because I was replying to both. So you don't think these new rumored devices are anything to get excited about? Even though I was excited and feeling confident before these were even mentioned. And now that everything has been laid out on the table, you still want me to pull out and leave BlackBerry in a worse position. What if everyone in the market listened to your suggestion? What would happen to the company? And their plans to release these high speced devices?

Does anyone know of any Canadian online brokers? I live in Toronto and have no experience with stocks and I just read that from other replies you need to sign up with a broker. I am very interested in buying some shares in BlackBerry, not a lot but probably somewhere between $500 to $1000 to support a Canadian company and at around $7/share that's a real bargain because I still see so much potential in BlackBerry but the company needs to act fast! I have spoken with my TD bank advisor and said I specifically want to buy stocks and I want to choose which ones I'm interested in but instead she opened up a TFSA (tax free saving account) for me. Am I able to buy BlackBerry stocks on a TFSA? I've heard about QuestTrade though.

I'd say $3.50 a share would be a good price, they're going to have some huge issues going forward in the upcoming quarters.

There are going to be some more massive losses and BB10 is completely off track of what BlackBerry wanted.

It is a great product but it is not selling at all.

When I was investing in them I was hoping for a modest 5 million BB10 sales per quarter, they couldn't even reach that....

This is just my opinion but make sure that I'd keep only a low amount of BlackBerry shares compared to the rest in my portfolio.

To any newbie investors, please do not buy stock in BlackBerry. If you want to make some money you might as well go to a casino... at least you would have some fun with your bet because investing in this volatile company at this point is nothing but gambling.

If you feel the need to 'support' the company (which you shouldnt btw) go to a retailer and purchase a bb10 device.

Amazing some people's concern for other people's money. I bought in yesterday a half position at $6.18. Too much negativity on a stock that's trading less then cash and assets. The company is being given away at these prices . When you see snapchat offered $3 b what will bbm be worth?

Why do I need to justify it, when billion dollar multinational corporations took a pass at $9?

His point is, you're more likely to make money elsewhere. Like it was said, if you want to support BlackBerry, do something that will actually support them and buy a BB10 device. That way you get something out of it in the end.
