Okay Superfly_FR you now have two awsome threads that I am constantly flopping back and forth on.
I wonder what kind of life they will take on now.
It would be kinda neat if we used http://forums.crackberry.com/bbry-f3...0/#post8137340 while the market was open, and then switched to http://forums.crackberry.com/bbry-f3...4/#post8137800 when the markets were closed.

I don't (neither didn't) have the slightest idea of what it will lead to
The "I support BBRY ..." thing is probably one of the most time consuming act I've ever committed in my digital life ...
Happily you're here guys, I won't handle that alone !

Of course we all want it to go higher and see it doing so over the next few years, but the $100 marker would prove fantastic gains worthy of a celebration for everyone. Even those of us that have relatively VERY few shares could revel in the investment choice we made.

    Okay, a few thoughts...
I agree that $100 is the first party and $200 is the next party, and so on. $50 doesn't count at any level.
First party should be easy to get to, large city close by, friends may make other plans later but first party should not be too remote.
Hosts should not have to foot the bill for very much, guests should have to pay for tickets.
Hosts only have to coordinate events and accommodations, and maybe ask for volunteers from the group to help who live nearby.
Flights, accommodations, meals, and the tickets are each person's responsibility.
We should invite Kevin et al. And the bbry directors etc.?
Spouses are included, but it should be expected that this is an adult event so bring kids at your own risk.
Obvious locations are us east coast, us west coast, Toronto, Paris.

Cool runnin' mon. Spent a week in Negril Beach once. The "local" cigars were better than the Habaneros, Cohibas or Montecristos.

It's clearly not a dream if "the plan" goes right
But hey, we'll not sell all for that occasion, either !
But it will clearly indicate that BlackBerry is not only "alive", but, yeah, kicking !
And that's what we'll be celebrating, earnings are just a way to finance the event

Dude, you've just earn the "let's set that right" badge !
We have to keep this at a reasonable level and I agree with the basics you've exposed here.

As for Kevin, or anybody wanting to join; sure they ARE very welcome. We all know people you're talking about have been far more valuable in (what we believe will be) the BlackBerry come-back - by acts but also as shareholders - than us holding some shares crumbs.
I believe it is a little touchy to "force join by invite" them to this spontaneous and friendly thing. I mean, we've stated things and we've engaged actions that may not suit their positions or (legal) responsibilities.
I must say I've been thinking about this for about an hour before I pressed the submit button. What we do here is under our control/responsibility and we must care about each ones; communication and image are sometimes even weirder than finance
So, there's a poll right there ... welcome all !

You'll need to open up a trading account at either your bank, with a financial planner, or at some online brokerage. There are tons to choose from so do your research as to what way you want to go. I personally go through my bank and it cost's more than, say, E-Trade but I like the convenience and I'm not making multiple trades a day or week.. or month for that matter. If I were, I'd be going somewhere else to save on fees. I hope this was at least a bit of help.

Please note that the people here are already committed to Blackberry's comeback plan and have researched the company, and all the risks involved in owning the stock. We are not encouraging others to buy the stock (or sell it for that matter!). Buying shares in a company is not an excuse to party - it is very risky. We are doing the opposite. We are planning a possible victory party for shares we have already committed to purchasing or have purchased. All StockBerrians (current and future) are welcome but BEWARE! Make your own decisions and take the advice of seasoned financial planners, and prepare to lose everything you invest! (I've been there and it ain't no fun). If you can't afford to lose it - don't risk it. Many very powerful and rich people are betting against us!

Having said that - welcome and best of luck with your investments.
(Wow, was that a downer or what?)

I am with scotiabank and I use Scotia itrade. I like it. Took a few days to get up and running.
Do a little research, talk to your bank, do a little more research, then decide.

Edit: Bugmapper makes a lot of sence. He isn't trying to scare you away, he's just making you aware.
