On google trends, I'm seeing interest for BlackBerry Z10 growing in India. Guess all those sellouts when the price was dropped were real!
    Google Trends

Interest for Z10 is about 50% of that of Iphone and Galaxy, which is more than I expected.
Time to make some more apps!

This seems like a good indicator to the upcoming demand for Z3. It's newer, larger 5'' screen, bigger battery, lower price..

Yes it's interesting to play with Google Trends.... Try BlackBerry and different terms and model numbers.

Very telling is the #3 under BB10 and Regional (world) - The PlayBook ranks highest in searches than any other device - even the ones that have BB10.

Also BBM in "Interest Over Time" for the whole world is very telling.....

Z10 sales have been very steady in India after the price reductions. People are obviously seeing value for money with Z10. On ebay India, a popular seller used to do 100 units/day consistently for 3 months at least.

After Z3 launch, it has come down to 60.

Value phones are the future and it is good to see BlackBerry offer a competitive product. The value phone is BlackBerry's road to rebuilding brand loyalty. Make it so and get it done.

Had BlsckBerry priced the Z10 and the Q10 more imaginatively even in the developed markets the results could have been different !

I almost have a hoarse throat by shouting it to BlackBerry people that developing market needs cheap phones. Enterprise and passport type high end models will miserably fail. Economies of scale is what gets money in developing Markets.

You have to WOW people.... features, apps, specs or price. There has to be a reason to pick "your" device over your competitions.

With BBOS it was BIS with it's low data usage and push email... at that time it was a much sought after feature.

Today all BlackBerry really has is security, and that is a really hard feature to sell. But it is very telling that the Z10 is still "TRENDING" higher than the Z3... even when only the last 30 days are selected.
