Doubt they get bought anytime soon unless negative quarterly reports which doesn't seem to be the case. And I wouldn't immediately leave until they changed the course of the company we knew.

If the fundamental communication, security and privacy features that is BlackBerry continue to be offered on the platform, despite being under new ownership, it would be enough for me to continue with BlackBerry. I'm with BlackBerry because of those features. Not because it's owned by a Canadian company or BlackBerry.

It really depends on who is buying them, and what this buyer will be doing with them.
If this buyer is actually going to use them to make smartphone that are like BlackBerry devices today, I will take a look-see and stay around for a year.
If this company is just buying them for their patents and aren't using them for what they are good for, I will not be around for awhile...

Why would you feel this way?? I actually hope blackberry teams up with a "big brother". That might be exactly what they need to get back in the fight. Maybe IBM or someone like that. Somebody that can get the innovation wheel rolling at blackberry

It all depends on who bought them and what direction they took the platform in. If they stayed true, I'd stay.

If my neighbor down the road buys more than 1% of BBRY stock and then lends it out to shorts but they also hedge their bet with some calls and puts after the quarterly earnings report but then eventually sell at a small profit after missing the huge upside on the short squeeze then I am leaving them!

Where did you hear that they might be bought out? They seem to be doing pretty good lately and they are scheduled to release more phones this year.
