Will Pentagon et. al. go with iPhones & Androids? What about security, encryption, BES and all that good stuff? Who fills the gap? Will BBRY still have a software/MDM business that could step in and take over that part of the enterprise market?
This is an interesting question. It sounds like Samsung's Knox has some potential, or there are some other smaller players might step up with encrypted devices.
However, BB10, as it currently exists, could be maintained with minor upgrades for a very long time. After all, in the defense/high security world the latest gimmicks and apps really don't matter. The phones might be more expense because it would be a niche market, but it would be enough to sustain a smaller BB10 provider.

They have already been fielding both platforms for about 3 years, now.
The question is how many gov owned devices really need that level of security?
At one point there were over 1 Million US Gov BlackBerries in operation.... But a number of different departments have already announced moving to iOS or Android that can be made "secure" to a level below BB. It's not like they allow Top Secret info to be used on ANY BlackBerries either...
