I don't Blackberry is a charity and thus don't expect android device sales to be used to keep BB10 going other than short term. I think Chen is waiting on 2 things: to see if they can get android as secure as BB10 and get the same certs and to find out if BB10 os can be develop with new devices at an overall profit.

Hopefully Chen can find a way to keep BB10 os going even if new devices have a longer life cycle.

Not 10% worth. How many did Wal-Mart receive in shipping per store? We have heard this before with BB10 devices that they were all sold out and hard to find waiting to get new shipments and then the truth came out. Stores got 3-5 unit each.

If it was day traders and the news of Walmart caring and selling out of the PRIV (which is what most attribute it too), it's kinda of an artificial bounce that won't last for too long. Unless BlackBerry or Walmart announce numbers.... most will pickup on the low number of devices that BlackBerry seems to be spreading around to other retailers. It's possible that Walmart sold out of 200K of the PRIV which would be fantastic, it's also possible they only had a few hundred of them to sell online only.

It is great news that Walmart is caring the PRIV... but not great enough to prop the stock up.

The part of this story that is truly fascinating is the volumes. Day traders trading sentiment don't usually move 16 million shares of BBRY. And this morning, even though we're continuing to fade, the volume is at 3 million shares for the first hour of trading! SOMETHING is causing this stock to trade. I think the volume is an accelerant on whatever direction the stock is moving. So, we're seeing unusual moves up and unusual moves down all in the space of a few trading days. And I still haven't seen a single news story that warrants this sort of move. Selling out at Walmart would only move the needle if there was data suggesting that the number of units sold was large - and that does not appear to be the case in any report.

What about a short squeeze? This would explain the volume levels and the pull back today.

    Date................Short interest......Volume.........Days to cover
    11/30/2015.......78,695,624.........4,791,789......16.42 3015

BlackBerry Limited (BBRY) Short Interest - NASDAQ.com
I guess it's possible. We've been hearing about the eventual short squeeze on BBRY for literally years. But maybe this is finally it? I'd think the squeeze is more likely to come on the heals of an amazing earnings release, instead of leading up to a questionable release, but who knows? There has been a LOT more short interest in BBRY in the past, but, to be honest, in those days trading volumes were higher. I'm not sure I've seen days to cover north of these levels in a very long time. As with most of this speculation, I guess only time will tell.

This may have just been a tremor like in the movie San Andreas...the big one may still be coming.

Some major buys being made today in advance of results reporting. BB's stock has surged almost 10% today. Will be interesting to see if this is an aberration or the beginning of a recovery.
    And....not a recovery.
