OP... not sure where your title came from, but it has nothing to do with the article you linked. The article just shows the purported new Sony next to the BB Q10 just as a size comparison. That's it. The Sept 4th date mentioned is the supposed announcement date of the new SONY phone... not some kind of partnership.

Ummm. Don't know. But that's what I could understand from the image in the article. I mean it looks to be true.
Comparing a full touch with qwerty which is not yet in the market.. something is fishy.

The guy who made the picture, just placed a Q10 beside the Sony to show it's size! Has nothing to do with a BlackBerry Sony merger!

I'm assuming the OP read that article in the sense that whoever took the picture, is hinting (without coming out and saying it) that on Sept 4th, there will be big news, and by showing the Q10 and the sony, that BB10 may be on the sony phone. He doesn't come out and say specifically that he's making a size comparison. Why would he use the Q10 for that? More people know the size of an iphone over the Q10, so wouldn't it make more sense to do a size comparison with something more people know the size on? I'm a little more open minded by what the OP is suggesting. That's not to say I agree, I just can see why he came to that conclusion. The person who took the picture may be scared to reveal a huge merger, so instead puts a BB10 phone next to a Sony phone and says 'big news is coming on Sept 4th'. If BB10 is not on the Sony, what's the 'big news'? This sony phone is not a secret, and specs are all out on it, so what's the big reveal on sept 4th? Maybe he's right.....mayb BB10 will be the new OS for Sony! I'd be fine with that! :)
I'm pretty sure that Sept 4th is the release date of the Sony Xperia Z1 (aka Honami) phone. It's not exactly a secret in the tech press, nor should it be a surprise that it's being released with Android 4.22, and not BB10. LOL. If BB had licensed BB10 to another manufacturer, you'd have heard about it LONG before an actual device was released.
hmmm bring in HTC one hardware with BB10 OS in it,add some Android apps and create hell of panic for Apple
