As much as I want to, I can't. No companies here deal with NASDAQ. So sad.

I sold yesterday to lock in profits from holding since Oct and now I feel like an ldiot and a traitor. I'm going to try to get back in but with the way the price is headed I might lose out on the possible run-up to the teens...

From what I've seen previouslyn, I'll have a look at the opening tomorow. After-hours may climb a little, then a down will follow. Hopefully you'll see a climb after that.
    I whish I had some cash left ... then I'd play some dime under $9 - $9.5

Disclaimer : this is my view and set on nothing but my personal appreciation which is not "financially" oriented. So it's not even an advice.

I wouldn't say they're buying stock "like crazy". Employees of any companies face serious constraints when buying stocks of their own company. The employees, however, are VERY confident of RIM's future though.

Aside from true insiders (e.g. a few top executives or board members), who have knowledge of non-public performance data, future plans, and such, what employees face "serious constraints" and what are those constraints?

As far as I was aware, most employees face no or almost no constraints of any kind when buying their employer's stocks.

This. The only way they can get in trouble is for insider trading. If they are aware of the company going bankrupt, being bought out, big lawsuit coming, etc and trade based on this info then there would be a problem. If they are buying shares bc they believe in the product, there is absolutely no problem. In fact, when employees are buying into their own company that is considered to be a very bullish indicator and ppl should pay attention.

Shorts interest are lsoing control and 90 million shares have to cover. Look at the stupid meaningless article " BlackBerry is being dropped by the U.S. government agency that investigates plane accidents because of the device’s reliability issues." Is a story to manipulate investors. Unlucky for them investors didn't fall for their propaganda of misinformation and lies and took RIMM stock up almost 6%. They are running out of stories and starting to run scared. I know a guy who works for one of the Canadian carriers who tells me those who have seen the phone are buying. He also said carriers want to break the apple/google hold on the market. They really want BB10 and even WP8 to help take the big two down a notch or two.

Interesting for it to spike like this today, when the Nasdaq isn't open. I guess lots of people trying to cover shorts and less shares available (only the TSX listed shares, and Canadians might be more bullish) to use to do so?
