Senior investment banker quits for corporate development role at Blackberry

Now, though, one senior investment banker has taken a job to turn the flagging fortunes of Blackberry around. Vito Giallorenzo, a managing director within Perella Weinberg’s New York technology investment banking team has quit for a new senior role at Blackberry.

He has just taken a role as senior vice president in corporate development and strategic partnerships in San Francisco. Giallorenzo quit Perella Weinberg after nine years working on technology deals last month. This is his second stint in corporate development, having previously left Morgan Stanley in 2008 to work for e-commerce firm Naspers on its European acquisitions.

Giallorenzo started out in investment banking after completing an MBA at INSEAD in 2006. He joined Morgan Stanley’s technology investment banking team. Before this, he spent four years working as a systems engineer at tech firm Cisco Systems.

I got the latest print on AAPL stock and it is a whopping $ 162.00, up .30% at the moment and they are predicting it will sell out too, no more shares!

I mentioned in my last post that I almost got my hands on the coveted Dual Sim KeyOne phone this week. Turns out the Apple's new phone is only a single Sim Card holder but they are offering a $ 90.00 tool that allows you to change out the card whenever you want so there's that.

Let's sit back and enjoy the fireworks, perhaps someone will post the details so some of us can hear about this historic day while on the road. I'm predicting a new colour is not far away ..............................

Difference between Harman and BlackBerry: Harman has a working sales force and therefore will generate revenues and profits out of it, while BlackBerry will skip the sales part and instead will only publish some nice white papers and hold some webinars since execution in sales is nothing BlackBerry management is focusing on very much
