- Heres what happened imho. Dod headlines scared some longs away. Pentagon came out with a statement below 30 mins or so ago and we rebound
Here is a rundown of what Pickart is able to share at this time about Apple, Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) and others, as a Defense Department spokesperson (tickers added):
“As clarified in the recent release of the our Commercial Mobile Device Implementation Plan, the Department of Defense is working towards establishing a multi-vendor environment that supports a variety of devices and operating systems, to include Samsung, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and BlackBerry (Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)).
Several mobile devices and operating systems are currently going through the Defense Information Systems Agency's Security Technical Implementation Guides review and approval process. STIGs are the configuration standards for DoD Information Assurance and IA-enabled devices and systems and contain technical guidance to "lock down" information systems and software that might otherwise be vulnerable to a malicious computer attack. STIG approvals allow DoD organizations to place orders knowing that the technology has the necessary detailed security configuration information required to meet DoD security requirements. They do not directly result in product orders, but facilitate the process by eliminating the need for security reviews at the individual DoD organization level.
The Samsung developed STIG for Samsung's Knox version of Android is going through the DISA STIG review and approval process with a decision expected sometime in the next two weeks. Samsung has included examples of technologies that can be used with their device to address our full set of security requirements, but the STIG will not be tied to any specific product.
Additionally, DISA has published an interim STIG for iOS 6 and we are working with the DoD Chief Information Officer to resolve a few open questions before releasing this as a full STIG. We expect release of the iOS STIG sometime in the next two weeks.
Finally, BlackBerry has submitted STIGs for DISA review and approval for BlackBerry Operating System 10, Blackberry Playbook, and BlackBerry Device Service. All STIGs for BlackBerry are currently going through the DISA STIG review and approval process. A decision is expected in early May.
The Commercial Mobile Device Implementation Plan updates the June 2012 Mobile Strategy with specific objectives and puts the strategy into action. A key objective of the plan is to establish a department-wide mobile enterprise solution that permits the use of the latest commercial technology such as smart phones and tablets, and the development of an enterprise mobile device management capability and application store to support approximately 100,000 multivendor devices by February 2014. DoD currently has more than 600,000 Commercial Mobile Devices in operational and pilot use, including approximately 470,000 Blackberries, 41,000 Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Operating Systems and 8,700 Android Systems.”
As you can see, there is a lot going on right now with the implementation of Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry devices, as well as the potential addition of others, such as those from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).
Lt Col Damien Pickart will be keeping us updated on new developments, so be sure to check back often for breaking news.

I'll make this relatively brief: I received too much support to just walk away and I thank everyone who wrote to me privately and who supported me in their posts. I wasn't being melodramatic--I really intended to abandon this forum. But several people (including a moderator) convinced me to stay.......
I come to this thread to talk shop about BBRY 90% of the time and 10% of the time I dwindle off. That 10% of the time has led to over 15 people contacting me about getting their life together financially. So i'm sorry if you like to talk BBRY 99% of the time but what you fail to realize and why I defend my position is because that othe 10% I helps a ton of people. The biggest issue young professionals have is failing to understand their financial situations and where to even begin. I help out with a lot of clarifcation outside this thread on that. Many people come to this thread reading about how everyone is so bullish on BBRY, they then throw money at BBRY thinking the stock market is all roses. It isn't and by taking a position to talk outside of BBRY helps others understand that emotionally investing into any stock will put your health financially and mentally at risk.
What other people do in this thead is great, everyone adds value. Mine just extends outside of insight on BBRY.CDM76 likes this.05-02-13 01:15 PMLike 1 - 05-02-13 01:16 PMLike 1

- Just installed it an hour ago. Definitely worth the 3$. That's a great investment. And if someone can't afford to invest 3$ to keep track of their portfolio then they probably should not be playing the market. It takes money to make money

I didn't get to where I am today in life by getting pushed around and not being able to stand up for myself. You have to be thick skinned to make it out in the real world and that is something people need to learn. I do apologize you are conservative in nature and that you cannot handle what I have to say. At the end of the day, how I choose to respond to anyone in this thread is not far off from how I respond to anyone working under me right now. If they can't handle it, they get fired. No one has quit under me or complained. I have been told I am a great teacher at work and motivate my group to succeed.

- Superfly_FRRetired ModeratorYes--good observation! However, this pattern was formed in a roughly two-hour period and, in my experience, patterns are more significant if they play-out across a greater time-span--such as a few trading days or weeks--or when they're correlated with other patterns. TA is not an exact science, however, and you can find examples of two-hour patterns that play-out as expected and those that don't. Some day-trading strategies employ intraday patterns with success.
Speaking of correlated: It's also important to consider resistance price levels outside of the pattern you observed. I will try to add charts to some of my future posts but in the past two trading days there is a down-trending channel (decreasing highs and decreasing lows]. Breaking above this channel and above the reverse (inverse) head-and-shoulders you cited at, say, $15.80 or so [I am uncomfortable trying to call an exact price point when doing TA], then it could be extra meaningful to the up-side. Correlating multiple patterns is always stronger than a single pattern.
Edit : back in green - fast climb - on my screen @ $15.97 ... $16 and up, here we go ! (hopefully)05-02-13 01:36 PMLike 0 - Boosters are charged and ready to fly the fack out of this dreary $15 space....lolm0de25 and Superfly_FR like this.05-02-13 01:36 PMLike 2
