It's not really brutal, it's what I have been seeing for a couple of years now. I go to Walmart and, I do work like a dog, the ones who are coming out with shopping carts full of groceries are the ones who are unemployed, unlike me who is working and being very selective as to what I buy. So when those who are unemployed can purchase more than those who work I would say things are really ****ed up. I do know that the are enjoying life at my tax expense. Although things are not bad enough yet that ppl are willing to come work in agriculture, when we reach this point, I will actually be quite concerned.
Well, remember that when the next election comes. Seems people voted for reasons other than qualifications so this is what we have now. Free hand-outs, higher taxes for those who choose to work, and higher costs for medical insurance even though there were promises otherwise. Literally pays not to work these days.

Have they (CNBC) got a video of their analysts talking about the BlackBerry and Apple matchup yet?
I was wondering the same thing. couldn't find it. I'd guess that they got tired of getting bashed for bashing BBRY. it will be interesting to see what they have to say on Monday after BBRY wins the whole thing. they'll have all weekend to find something bullish to say but they will probably just sweep it under the rug... like they are doing today.

Sorry if that comment came off a bit too strong - I had an account for about a month three years ago. I had a look around, didn't see anything useful, so I deleted the account.

No, you're ok. I'm just tired of trying to keep it up, getting spammed out, and hit with adds constantly.

    CNBC script for Monday.
Draft 1: Not mentioning the poll results at all.
Draft 2: The polls were not scientific and should not be trusted - buy Apple!

Android is open-source, there's no way any company can extract licensing fees. And developing a specialised version would not be in their interest, primarily because the more handset manufacturers use it, the more data they can collect on user-behaviour, which in turn means they can better target their ads to users. This is why Facebook wants to get in on the action. They can only track users on mobile devices when they interact with their app -- but if the home screen is now facebook ...

As with Morgan8, I am really excited about this madness matchup thing. It is stupid, but we might be able to use it to our advantage by creating noise and gainer awareness.
I only have 2 facebook friends (I don't use it), but I am emailing everyone I know for their votes.

Hey Guys, is QNX a publicly trading company? Wonder how much money they make and whether BBRY includes their numbers in their quarterly results.
Read this article that Captain Morgan posted in #15106 earlier today:
    http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2013/04/...ce=yahoo_quote

3rd last paragraph especially... as important as this architecture is, seems like QNX licensing itself does nothing to BB's bottom line...

Around here they are called the EBT crowd for the welfare debit cards those on the dole get. Some certainly deserve it, many others are just playing the system. I am sure we all know and see folks abusing the system while we work hard just to stay ahead. I am lucky and have a good job and drive a nice car and live in a pretty decent house. I don't mind sharing a little, but when I see what goes on and what the idiots in Washington want to do, it makes me crazy. Then they want to take more to do insane things with it. I I have also spent a lot of time around 2 friends who made partner at Goldman Sacks a several years ago when things were booming. A $10M bonus is a pretty nice deal and does seem a little disproportionate to me, but hey at least they throw some great parties. Hopefully the Robinhood trend reverses, but I live in a very blue state and it seems like my hunting guns and salary are in their sights....

The article is dated today but contained this "BlackBerry 10 was only unveiled in January, and BlackBerry's newest phone, BlackBerry Z10, has yet to reach the U.S. market." ????

Anywhoo, thanks to today, I'm only up a tiny bit... wonder why the dip? Tons of talk about the Q10.

Unfortunately, it seems it will be released in the USA/Canada in May however, kind of a bummer...

Thanks! Great, I am a big fan of Questlove. If you don't know who he is, he is part of The Roots (very talented Rap Band) and works with Jimmy Fallon/Justin Timberlake etc... Lots of followers (more so the older, educated crowd )

QNX is now being assigned the 3% of the software business that BBRY does going forward. It is showing up on their balance sheet as a revenue source because of BlackBerry Fusion and MDM properties. Misek is using it as his major reason for buying into the BlackBerry story now. So let's look at QNX as 3% of the $ 2.7 billion, that's $ 80 million in revenue and it is on the map now. If you annualize that amount, you have $ 320 million and that's not bad revenue since they paid only $ 200 million for it. At this time, that revenue goes to pay for research, it doesn't generate income to the bottom line. But before FY 2014 is out, it will be profitable and BBRY will be growing software to off-set Enterprise revenues. The profits will show 80% returns and this is important. What BlackBerry can do in 3 - 5 years is spin off this company while retaining 51% of it and the sale price will be huge. You are right, the company is responsible for R&D and nothing else but all of that is changing as it turns its attention to saleable items like BES10.

Thanks Morgan, but can we get the Op his answer on whether this company is a publicly trading company? I couldn't find them on NASDAQ or NYSE. Any thoughts or insight as to where they might be located or when they might become available?
