Ha! Ha! Guys, fun to read messages on this board. It appears I can do no wrong, if I get it right the praise pours in, if I get it wrong everyone is too polite to call me on it!

Nothing has changed, the Dow Jones can still pop 2,000 more points, that's how oversold we were. Biotech will lead the way with most of them moving back up rapidly followed by new 52 highs as money shifts into our plays.

BB is held back by the acquisition so we won't see the same kind of pop that we got last year at this time. If Trump can get a trade deal with China, we could be moving to new highs in the general market too. That's the time I would look to lighten up on stocks as the US debt situation is about to take center stage.

That's it! Have some fun, hope many of you bought SPHS, EYPT & BB for this run. We'll have a chance to take profits in the form of selling and call writing programs in 2019. GL

in preparing for a difficult conversation with my managers manager, I just listened to an audiobook about conflict management, and according to it feedback should be 80% positive for people to listen to and actually take in any constructive or non-positive feedback. me being from the land of the trolls and all (aka Norway), I have to try to behave and keep a civil tone. if not, you or anybody else of the regulars on here, won't say hi if you ever decide to come to check out the fjords. we can't have that!

to be completely honest, my plan was to exit a lot of my positions before 2019 came around and start renovating our house, but then the year went ahead and came a few months early which resulted in my portfolio being down some 30% or so in no time. (thanks to, in part, a guy I hope won't stay in office for much longer.)

Hope you are doing great M8. May 2019 be the year of good conversations, strong profits, great relationships and fantastic health for us all!

BlackBerry’s drive into the auto sector

BlackBerry CEO John Chen is back at CES 2019 and we expect to hear more about how the famed Canadian vendor is pivoting its business around software for the enterprise and the automotive vertical.

BlackBerry plans to showcase its software for connected and autonomous vehicles, including inside concept cars such as the 2018 Aston Martin DB11 and the 2017 Range Rover Supercharged. BlackBerry is expected to showcase some infotainment features around its QNX platform.

The BlackBerry IoT Platform will also be on display with a demo involving a custom smartphone app that allows drivers to control certain aspects of their driving experience, such as in-cabin temperature and music volume.

Chen will literally be chewing the fat with media invited to a breakfast (we assume bacon will be served) on the morning of Jan. 9. He’ll be sharing news, and cover topics including autonomous vehicles, IoT device security, data privacy, AI and more.

Alex Coop will be covering BlackBerry during CES.

Good timing of information before CES 2019:

BlackBerry wants to make the internet of things safe for you
    https://www.cnet.com/news/blackberry...-safe-for-you/
In case you missed it, smart home devices are vulnerable to hackers. Experts have been warning us for years that smart devices aren't so smart when it comes to security, showing us how easily a car, a doll or a security camera could be hacked. BlackBerry is betting we've had enough and are ready to spend a little extra on safer products.
On Sunday, the smartphone maker launched three products designed to make internet-connected devices more secure from hacking. Products that've integrated the BlackBerry tech will bill themselves as BlackBerry Secure. The timing could be right for BlackBerry and its partners. Consumers may finally be eager to seek out safer products, after months of data privacy scandals involving Facebook and Google in 2018 and the massive Equifax breach the year before.

This sounds more like hope or religious faith than sound investing to me. I could see a dead cat bounce happening or maybe there is a value proposition here but don't see where revenue growth comes from. Buying other companies isn't "organic" growth in my book. I'm not seeing any larger strategy...

Egads! Than if one is a Christian invested in BlackBerry, then they are certainly doomed(!!!)
Nah, I'll just pop another kettle of buttered corn and wait out the storm....

Revenue? You have been paying attention to the last 4 Q's?
Albeit slow, the progress and revenue are real.

As for strategy, I think Chuck pointed out the obvious:
We lack the credentials to shoot the CEO just yet.
