Blackberry is going to hit a home run with the Passport, and likely also with the upcoming Classic.

Next quarter should be very impressive!

I wouldn't read too much into that. Indian import data from Zauba indicates that only a measly 1,500 Passports were imported in the first batch. Now whether this is because of supply constraints or BlackBerry India's demand projections, only time will tell. Meanwhile, it is still in stock on Amazon India.

    Google just announced Nexus 6 - $649
(Google reveals the $649 Nexus 6, pre-orders begin on October 29th)

That's more than BlackBerry Passport and I am happy to see that! Nexus 5 was reasonably priced at $399 or $349 and at that price it used to become automatic default choice for consumers that didn't want to spend a lot but still wanted reasonably modern, well supported smartphone.

But by pricing it at $649 - Nexus is no longer in that category. It'd be compared against other phones from Samsung, Apple, BlackBerry etc. Hopefully, some consumers will choose BlackBerry!

You have to search using the model number, which in the case of the Passport is SQW100-1 and for the Z3 is STJ100-1. I did get the three results that you show but excluded them as the description clearly shows that they were evaluation devices not for commercial sale. If it was an import for sale, it would have the name of the main distributors in India (i.e. Redington or Ingram Micro). In this case it was REG (Redington).

Interesting source, thanks. The site wouldn't let me go back to a date earlier than Oct 5 though, so unable to ascertain how much product has already arrived. Also noted that some Passports were arriving from Hungary.

I didn't find any Passports arriving from Hungary, although some of the older models including Z10 (STL100) and Q10 (SQN100) seem to be arriving from Hungary.

Not one single vote (for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or last place) from one of their so called "experts" for the BlackBerry Passport!!!

    Anybody surprised?

While "the People" have it ranked at #5 and climbing.
