I have not seen a press release, maybe I missed it, but I know for sure, that the Commerzbank, a German bank with about 30000 employees has BES10 now and a BlackBerry only solution. A few iPads too. They are slowly rolling out Z10 and Q10 devices since a few months. Still many legacy devices.
A friend is working there. He thinks the company has about 10000 BlackBerry devices in total - but he is not sure. He is sporting a Q10 now and very happy.

@ Bla1ze. What about it? Any confirmation for it? If it's true, and Crackberry gives us an article about it, we all can spread the word.

Oh, and we're at the edge of no man's land. This stock doesn't seem to like to trade in this band +/- $0.50 of $12

Tough Monday after the late FDA approval on Friday, anyone have any insight or was it just one of those down days? I got in around $9 earlier this summer and have no plans to sell in the near future, just not what I expected to see today after the after hours action on Friday.
This is not the first time we have been left at the alter on great news. When the PegPH20 Phase II trial came back to market we failed to rally at all, we haven't seen the stock go up on the cellulose data nor did we get a sustainable lift on the fast tracking of PegPH20. So you have to wonder why we aren't hearing from the company, nor are we seeing a typical response by the brokerage houses. The only thing that I can speculate would be happening is that a Fund is using today's news to take advantage of the high volume and sell their position. Many Biotech stocks got whacked today, but this one shouldn't have been one of them for sure. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

There's help for that. BlackBerry is launching Z30 Addiction Anonymous (ZAA). It will be a pilot for the much larger (PPAA) and (CAA) programs in the following Months to come.

BlackBerry: ?Passport,? ?Classic? Key to Upside Despite Software Focus, Says UBS - Tech Trader Daily - Barrons.com

The BBRY Café. [Formerly: I support BBRY and I buy shares!]-15066579749_8547ac3c84.jpg

Wells Fargo analyst Maynard Um this afternoon reiterates a Market Perform rating on shares of BlackBerry (BBRY), in advance of what are expected to be media events on September 24th for the company’s new Passport handset, and another one in November for the BlackBerry “Classic.”

Although CEO John Chen has said a lot about BlackBerry as a software maker, “we believe its hardware launches will be the key driver to achieving near-term profitability and to buying time while the business model shifts,” writes Um.

“On the one hand, the Passport’s premium pricing (media outlets suggest pricing could be $700 for the base model and higher for premium models) should assure good gross margins.”

“On the other hand, the high price point may limit unit elasticity, even for enterprises.”

With BlackBerry set to report results for the fiscal Q2 ended August on September 26th, “guidance for the November quarter could be better despite lower blended gross margin due to higher hardware mix and higher opex for launch,” opines Um.

Um sees a chance of improved cash flow in the quarter despite continued losses:

We forecast August quarter revenue of $863.4mm (Street: $947mm) and a loss per share of ($0.20) vs Street’s ($0.15). The decline is driven by a decline in services revenue of 14% sequentially (9% when adjusting for the $30mn Venezuela benefit last qtr, which is in line with the historical trend). More importantly, FCF should improve from the pro forma cash burn of $255mn last quarter. For the November quarter, the higher Passport ASP could drive upside to our $425 ASP for BB10 devices though may be offset by lower units vs our 1.2mn forecast. However, at that ASP, there may be upside potential to our 16% hardware gross margin with every 100bps upside equal to roughly $0.01. Some Classic shipments toward the end of the quarter could also help guidance.

BlackBerry stock today closed up 23 cents, or 2%, at $11.02.
