Agree with this guy. Funny how one can get behind the bars for sharing information with foreign counties in the name of spying and government officials share all in the name be being 21st century government and cool. Eventually all these things will caught up and go back to basics like it used to..Hopefully BJP government bans iOS devices and make B10/BES as standard government info management tools.

BlackBerry Upbeat about Enterprise Services Biz in India

According to an Economic Times report, BlackBerry Limited (BBRY) is expecting its enterprise services business to witness strong growth in India. The driving factor in this regard is the insecurity of corporates in the country with respect to information leakage and their subsequent search for a strong communication systems security.

BlackBerry stated that the demand for the company’s enterprise services — BES 10 and BBM Protected – are gaining market traction from Indian corporates. BlackBerry is also trying to push the sales of its voice-encryption solution.

This time around, I believe we will clear the $ 10.80/shr level and stay above that level for the balance of the year. So I wouldn't be trying to trade this stock until after I see what happens in September!
Thanks, Morgan. I'll hold on to my Strike $15 calls

I was curious too, so I Googled it and found the answer is YES. BBM's method of invite/accept may be a pain to some, but it really comes in handy when you need to block unwanted messages. Now, if they can only fix PIN spam in BBM Channels.

With unbeatable offers from BlackBerry and Verizon Wireless, it’s never made more sense to upgrade your employees to BlackBerry 10 smartphones and move to the most secure EMM platform – BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10).

Nice. Not just the government employees, but also their relatives and friends involved in the background checks of those government employees.

State sponsored breaches or not, when do we start to see jail time for the employees and execs responsible for preventing such breaches? When do we see people being permanently banned from doing future work in IT? When do these companies get shutdown?

I wonder if Apple is sandbagging in an attempt to thwart the Passport.

Let's see if they launch the same-phone 6 at the same time as BlackBerry launches the Passport.

    Bets?

Yeah, the split frames are cool, but one of the things that have me the most jazzed is the stainless steel rails along each side. I am sooo happy that they won't be painted plastic.

This beast will no doubt win design awards.
I'll bet that there will be a charging cradle either OEM or shortly following launch. That will make it look like a jewel at night, like my wife's bold 9900.

Now that I'm playing with 10.3 and you can pin the active frames -- having 9 (6 full + 3 halfs) tap-able active frames on the home screen of the Passport is going to be awesomely productive. With 10.2 I never kept the frames open as they were never in the same place. With 10.3 I keep calendar, weather, stocks, and CB10 as my home screen 4 on the Z30. And wow what a pleasure that blackberry assistant actually worked for the few things I threw at it....and with pretty loud music in the background.

At least 25k gov't workers impacted by USIS data breach - SC Magazine

    Eazzy Peazzy
The personal information of up to 25,000 government workers may be at risk after U.S. Investigations Services (USIS), a Falls Church, Va.-based firm that performs background checks, was breached.

USIS announced the cybersecurity incident earlier this month, but in a recent Reuters report unidentified officials close to the investigation revealed that the breach impacted workers at the Department of Homeland Security, and its U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection units.

Those affected by the breach have begun receiving notification letters which reveal that Social Security numbers, birth dates, education and criminal history, and names and addresses of relatives and friends tied to the workers may have been accessed, according to the letter obtained by Reuters.

A statement released by USIS on August 6 addressing the breach, said that the attack was believed to be state-sponsored.
