It's just extremely weird seeing green on earnings call day. God, I remember that 20% drop that last time.

Yes, that worries me though, we could go red n'all. I remember the last time earnings call were similar (stock movement wise), that was when Thor announced 4th quarter and had shipped just over a million BB10 devices (particularly Z10s), stock was green and then eventually went red, but no major drop in price. This is what I like about today, the drop sounded huge on paper (losing 6% of anything sounds bad) but it was just only 40 or so cents. And now, the earnings calls conference is finished and we're up almost 20 cents.

Cash Flow Analysis:

Cash is king for a struggling company like BlackBerry. Excluding the $1 billion debt issue, Cash & Investments decreased $377 million, much better than the $500 million cash burned last quarter. Free Cash Flow is starting to improve from -$502 million last quarter to -$361 million this quarter. I believe BlackBerry is starting to control the cash burn and may decrease slightly in the upcoming quarters. These two measures should be watched carefully.

I would like to point out that they might off only sold 1 million bb10 phones but i bet they gave away 1-2 million more z10's. Slowly but surely the market is getting bb10 phones

Chen is much more open and convincing than his predecessor. Very refreshing and comforting to me.

Competence has its own quality, and is sorely needed when things are looking bleak. The biggest enemy for BB has been lack of confidence because the senior management has looked like a bunch of clowns, making statements that don't make sense, and promises they knew they couldn't keep.
