Call is winding down and market is settling back down into decision mode.

I think he was too positive for the shorts to hold on. He's too excited about the next quarter.

    1.1M BB10 devices sold .....

BES "No material revenue recognized yet." This is worrisome.

Impairment charges suck, and BBRY took a big hit on that

They cash they reported includes the $1B so not as good as I thought but still solid.

They seem to be doing a nice job cleaning up the balance sheet.

Foxconn will end up buying Blackberry just like Lenovo bought the Thinkpad. No reason for it not to happen.

Love everything that Chan is doing and saying. Love the write down and cash. Love the cost cutting. I'm buying more today. You can rain all you want negative storm clouds but your negativity will not consume me.

The loss, which amounted to $8.37 per share, was largely related to $4.6-billion in non-cash, pretax writedowns to the companys long-lived assets, inventory, supply commitments and its previously announced restructuring program.
But even excluding write down, ER was worse than expected.

    http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/SB10001...?mg=reno64-wsj
"On an adjusted basis, which excludes the $4.6 billion of charges, BlackBerry lost $354 million, or 67 cents a share, which is worse than the 44-cent-a-share loss analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were forecasting."

So the numbers were projected to be bad and were worse than expected. I would expect that to drive down the stock today. The 3.2 billion cash buys them some time to get back on track. Only time will tell.

BES 10 is in free test til the end of the year. So no revenue was expected for v10.

Cash burn was $400M (2.6+1-y=3.2) was it not?

Hardware future liabilities down from 2.9B to 1.6B. (While cash is 3.2B) This is fantastic. We no longer have people saying their liabilities are larger than their cash position. And this will go down next quarter and then probably level off a bit around 1B.

I think I have those numbers right..
