Nope, not lead by CJ. He was at the rear of the expedition, of course.

BGR is reporting that 20 million new BBM adds in one week is a BIG deal

BlackBerry just announced that it has added 20 million iOS and Android users to its BBM messaging service in one week. This rockets BBMs total monthly active user base to 80 million. How should we view these numbers? One way to approach them is to make some comparisons: It took Path 16 months to get to 10 million users after the revamped service was launched in the beginning of 2012. Kik took two years to hit 30 million users; Viber took two years to hit 50 million. It took LINE one year to get to 40 million users and that was considered a stellar success back in 2012.

So obviously, getting to 20 million users in a week is phenomenal, and 80 million MAUs is a big deal.

BBM seems to be on its way to hitting between 40 million and 50 million iOS/Android users by Christmas.

Interesting read. How to make its devices stand out, new SDKs, Android, Tizen, HTML5, etc.

Thought I would share as BBRY news are scarce... Hope you like it.

I thought that Randeman's followup is classic. Maybe if BBRY investing goes south, we might think about team comedy? LOL

Elsewhere it was leaked 1/3 of sold Samsung smart watches are being returned (based on Best Buy). Apple was likely smart to hold off on this until someone else paves the way...

WSJ: BlackBerry execs reportedly met Facebook last week 'to gauge interest in potential bid' | MobileSyrup.com
Facebook is the latest company that could swallow BlackBerry whole, or possibly split them into parts. Previous reports have indicated that Cerberus Capital Management, BlackBerry co-founders Mike Lazaridis and Douglas Fregin, Cisco Systems, Google, SAP, Intel, Lenovo, LG, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and former Apple CEO John Sculley have all express some sort of interest. However, only a $4.7 billion bid from Toronto-based Fairfax Financial has actually surfaced – which is expected to close by November 4th.
