Better off getting the charger bundle vs this. I'd rather swap out the battery vs carrying around almost a brick.

Everything I hear about Mugen, they make a good battery. It also gives me pause when it comes to the Z30,knowing they're going sealed battery. I'm a notorious battery killer, in fact, based on the battery performance that is starting to be evident, I'm going to have to replace mine soon, and I've had this phone just 9 months. I absolutely wring the everloving life out of a battery, because I'm 100% mobile, 100% mof the time.

I'm looking at a couple of 4000mah+ batteries, myself, maybe help reduce the number of daily cycles I put my phone through.

Jeepers... can we just get off this TA **** once and for all?!?! This has come up more than once and fine, you don't believe it is at all effective, then don't pay attention and dismiss it. There are many like you but also many not like you and find the usefulness of it as a tool. Drop it or start your own little thread to dismiss it.

As for the rest of you... STOP QUOTING and perpetuating this ******* nonsensical argument. lol. Nobodies opinion is going to change so it's an exercise in futility.
Well said. Appreciate the TA posts if you believe in TA. Ignore if you don't. Easy enough. Or go create another thread on TA.

Better yet, use the one dusdal just created. http://forums.crackberry.com/bbry-f3...entals-843304/

There's no longer a need for TA haters to waste our time with the repeated posts about how useless TA is -- nor for any TA lover who wants to defend it at length -- to post in this thread.

If you see someone posting here with an analysis based on TA, and you disagree with the underlying premise (as opposed to the specific analysis posted), then feel free to head over to that thread and add some commentary. Heck, you could even post the infrequent link over to that thread to direct the attention of all the at-risk newbies who may be unaware there's some controversy.

Just, please, don't keep discussing it here. This is no longer the thread for that.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

I have no ignore list so far. I have been trying to read them all, but it is getting hard to handle all the nonsense.
Reminds me of a grad student I had. He tried to impress me so much that he constantly came up witty arguments. They were mostly valid and I wanted to encourage his independent thinking, so I put up with for a year. One day told him to just shut the fark up and do what I tell you.
Thinking about making a list now...
Lol. Been there, done that. I am retired/semi retired since the age of 42. I don't have time for those any more.

openPR.com - Press release - Real-Time Systems GmbH - Real-Time Hypervisor for the 4th Generation Intel Core? Processors available now

By utilizing the RTS Hypervisor, a traditional embedded system, typically consisting of an industrial PC for the user interface and a separate hardware for real-time tasks, can now be replaced by a single hardware solution carrying multiple independent operating systems. Building a manageable, secure system with e.g. Microsoft Windows safely in parallel to a real-time operating system on just one board based on the 4th generation Intel Core processor, reduces the Bill of Materials while increasing a systems reliability and reducing power consumption. This can be especially important for devices like portable ultrasound equipment and industrial controllers / HMIs just to name a few.

Out of the box, the RTS Hypervisor provides support for Microsoft Windows, Windows Embedded Compact, VxWorks, QNX Neutrino, T-Kernel, OS-9, On Time RTOS-32 and Linux. Proprietary operating systems or other real-time code can be integrated easily.

Galaxy Gear to beat iWatch's unveiling

The executive made it clear that Samsung has no interest in Canada’s BlackBerry, which has been put up for sale. There has been speculation that Samsung may be interested in BlackBerry’s patent portfolio.

“Samsung Electronics is not considering that opportunity,” she said without elaborating further.

The company is gearing up against its rivals including Sony to get the upper hand in the market for wearable devices because the smartphone market is heading toward saturation.

“The mobile security industry is a growing market opportunity. To address the potential, Samsung Electronics has been focusing on enhancing mobile security. We are ready to adapt Knox to the market needs,” she said.

ARM buys Internet of Things startup Sensinode

ARM Acquires Internet Of Things Startup Sensinode To Move Beyond Tablets And Phones | TechCrunch

The implication at the time was that it would be beyond the devices we typically refer to as “mobile” today, to cover cars, ovens and other appliances, factory robots, and really anything that you might need or want to be connected up in your work or leisure life — as the illustration here, taken from Sensinode’s site, shows.

The list indeed is long: “IoT technology can be used in wireless sensors, smart connected appliances, home health applications, and wearable electronics. The technology is also applicable to M2M applications using cellular connections and the new OMA Lightweight M2M standard for device management,” ARM notes.

In that regard, today’s acquisition news is evidence of how this is playing out. ARM projects (via analysts IMS Research) that there will be 30 billion connected devices by 2020. Compare that to the 8.7 billion ARM-based devices that were shipped last year, and combine that with ARM’s existing repution, and you can see why ARM sees this as a clear opportunity for the taking.

“ARM is dedicated to enabling a standards-based Internet of Things where billions of devices of all types and capabilities are connected through interoperable Internet Protocols and Web Services,” said John Cornish, executive vice president and general manager, System Design Division, ARM, in a statement.

It's the debate about the value of TA that needs to be put to the wayside in this thread. It has, more than once, taken away from the discussion and turned into more than a cordial discussion. I welcome a new thread to visit and learn if people decide to use it.

silversun10, yeah, what CJ said above. I wasn't saying don't do or post analyses, whether done with TA or tea leaves. I was saying don't try to start meta-discussions about the value of TA, or hammer on someone for posting their TA. "There's a thread for that." ;-)

Go play outside or read a Playboy magazine or something. Things are getting to tense in here again.

BBM spinoff... I like. Wrings a bit of value out of an asset for shareholders without breaking up core business too much. Not sure how Blackberry would keep control... (maintain 51% ownership?)

Any ideas on how the ownership would be structured? Do we get shares? An IPO with all proceeds to BB? Wholly owned subsidiary? (makes no sense to me) Partnership with other companies?

Oh, OK. Of course there is only one side bringing this up. So, if you can solve that, you got that problem solved.
