The upgrade is huge considering it's Socit generale.

I don't think the bears can do much today. Bulls will run with this. Also, that purchase by the spanish investment bank if true, adds more fuel to the fire.

Apparently they were removed from the list on the CNBC site.
Really why? Is this bogus then?

If Z10 sell through was 4 mil units, surely their price target would be much higher than $18?

    Just playing devils advocate...

This is a two step upgrade, jumping past hold. This makes it an 'actionable' recommendation. Fund managers etc will take this as a very positive sign.

    Definition of 'Actionable'
A business directive or investment strategy that can feasibly be accomplished in the near future. Company managers and investors try to identify things that are currently actionable, as they may be prerequisites toward accomplishing future goals and higher level directives.

That big purchase by a Spanish firm is helping increase confidence too. A lot of good things going on this morning.
That big purchase has been removed from the CNBC site. It's as if it never happened. It's not on any other boards that I can find.

It's not the first or last time CNBC will make a mistake. Need to look no further then the analysts hired.

Maybe they want to re-release it sometime today . No logic or reasoning behind that. Just hoping!

iOS 7 Lock Screen Security Flaw

    Security June 12, 2013 at 5:40 PM

Every major new software release has its share of bugs and security holes and the developer edition of Apple’s iOS 7 is no different. Forbes points us to a new video showing how to completely bypass the iPhone’s password protection by accessing the calculator available on the lock screen. As Forbes describes it, users can bypass the password screen “by opening iOS’s Control Room and accessing the phone’s calculator application before opening the phone’s camera,” which will then let them “access, delete, email, upload or tweet the device’s photos without knowing its passcode.” The new security flaw in iOS 7 is the second lock screen-related hole found on iOS this year, as earlier hackers found a way to bypass the password protections on iOS 6.1. The full video demonstrating the security flaw is posted below.

The breakout number to watch is $ 13.70/shr here:

The BBRY Café. [Formerly: I support BBRY and I buy shares]-rim-june-12-2013-chart.jpg

Yes, the bar has been set really low here, the 5-dma will be breached at the $ 13.70/shr area and our down sloping line comes in at $ 13.70/shr too. Notice that during each of the last three pull-backs, we hit a low, rallied, dropped back for a double bottom and took off from there! We did it again yesterday. So today is an interesting one, we have a simple hurdle to over come here and it looks like today might be the day to begin the rally to $ 15.00/shr.

The increase in target from a sell to a buy is an excellent move considering they need to see the actual Q1 numbers to go higher. I think we will see plenty of upgrades in the weeks ahead. If they are right about 4 million Z10's in this quarter, we could be looking at 10 million phones shipped, that would be huge news. GL

    Just on BloombergNews

Soc Gen expects 5 million+ BB10 sales this quarter!!
    4 million + Z10's 1 million +Q10's

That's the high side of my estimate. I'm good with that

But 5 Million is neither good nor moderate!
    This number means falling sales!

1 Million UK and CAN (Feb. numbers), 1Million US (1 Million order March)

=> At least 6 Million devices for Q1

Any other number below means slowing down sales.

Let us hope for more then 6 Million devices :-)
