or how can you not steer with 100 mln?
ppl on this thread were up till 2-3 am eagerly waiting for the ER.... ER was good...stock jumped $1.00 in the morning and now to this....so much excitement lol lol
lets see how next week plays out......
Thanks. I just wonder if the short volume is just too large that it wouldn't have drawn the SEC's attention by now. I know its not absolutely illegal, but it is a regulated activity. Honestly interested in your thoughts on this and how prevalent it is as an intellectual matter and discussion. I do hate shorts. Thanks.
What happened to "long and hard!"? haha.
We all know that this ER what brilliant and it's there on the 10-Q, so one way to look at this is that we've built a stronger spring. The shorts have to push a little harder and it doesn't change the fact that the spring is stronger.
For short term and day trades, its a pain in the ***. For medium term windows its nearly insignificant.
Let's look forward to the looming upgrades and have an amazing Easter weekend, its a beautiful sunny day here in Vancouver today :)
Holding in the mid $14s... :)
It seems to be the only damage these guys can do...
Now that's funny!
what the **** just happened?
Agreed. Theres a reason I have no stops on this stock.
the big manipulation brought the TSX price down to $14.45, and finished at $15.09.
hate to be the one who got scared, sold at $14.45, only to watch it rebound an hour later.
Once again, is the NASDAQ open tomorrow?
It closed above 15? Says 14.74 for me. But I am not real time...
nope
What just happened in Toronto?!? Shot up last second to close at $15.09 CAD up 29 cents and almost 2%
Interesting, so the TSX is open tomorrow I am assuming...
weird..closed at $15.09 on tsx but $14.45 on nasdaq..
Why does my chart have $16.00 at close?
Closed at $14.44
Let the manipulation and conspiracy theories continue.
nope
The SEC moved to stop the worst abuses. I am sure some still try to abuse the system. The bottom line is that it is NOT illegal. If people don't like the rules they have the choice to list or invest elsewhere. There are many intelligent people (esp v Cramer) on both sides of this issue, but many intelligent people do take the position that shorts help the market be more efficient and are ultimately price neutral.
I never sold...it's going to be pretty bad before I do that
Because it's just the shorts trading amongst themselves.

We won't know how many "borrowed shares" were shorted today until that number is made publically available. We do know that plenty of shares are sold without borrowing from a brokerage house and it is that group that I'm referring to. They short the shares in one account, and before they settle the trade, they transfer them to another account. The movement of blocks of stock between accounts keeps the short position off the books. They can do this for months at a time. If they could borrow the stock from a brokerage and short "legally", I'm all for that. But selling stock that you can't borrow from a long shareholder is criminal. This has to stop.

No both are closed because of Good Friday. Also why, the ER was in the morning as opposed to the afternoon.
TSX closed up 1.96%
I believe it's closed tomorrow
