Anyone holding jan 2013 calls? Trying to decide whether to sell half of my position before dec.20 earnings and lock in some profits just in case. I still have jan 2014 calls as well.

Do you think there'd be a lot of selling before Dec 20th earning call? Maybe it'd go down a bit then?
THis is from another thread on here posted today.-----------------------------------------------------------
This info has been culled from what is essentially an Apple iPhone article and the iPhone's struggle in China with China Mobile.
China Mobile has twice the number of subscribers as China's next two largest mobile players China Unicom and China Telecom.
Meanwhile, rivals are circling, eating away at Apple’s smartphone market share. Samsung Electronics, Lenovo Group and little-known Chinese brand Coolpad held the top three slots in the third quarter, according to IDC.
All three have relationships with China Mobile and offer smartphone models at different price points. Apple competes exclusively at the high-end, and even there, rivals are rolling out models with China Mobile. Last week, Nokia said it planned to release its latest Lumia smartphone with China’s top carrier, which is also expected to launch Research in Motion’s new Blackberry 10, analysts predict. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure. I don't think you'd see A LOT of selling. I expect volume next week to be pretty low though until Friday that is. :)
I have a question. In OPTIONS: there is bid price, ask price.
Let's say,
ask is $6.5
bid is $6.05
Now, I was trying to sell 1 opt contract, what I did was, I placed a sell order with limit 6.05 (same as bid price). But it still did NOT get sold.
So, if the bid price is 6.05, doesn't it mean there are buyers wanting to buy at 6.05, so it should have sold right away?
There is always a lag time between your order and when it gets executed.
Also the amount matters. Sometimes people set AON (All or Nothing) orders.
Meaning if they want to buy 10 options, and you are only selling 1, the order isn't going to go through.
Good close today. Great week of gains. Didn't hit my price target to buy more, no position change. We'll see how next week unfolds.
I bought another hundred more. Figured I'd support RIM on the up as well as on the down.

I'm 17 and I doubled down this morning, 10K in RIMM now. Common RIMM!!! I put my life's savings into you!
Good luck (sincerely).
But "all in one" ... be very careful and follow tight with strict targets ... if I dare giving an advice.
To quote the great Jeremy Clarkson: "If you BELIEVE something will work, it WILL work!" I believe in BB10 and I believe in RIM!
You bet I do too :) yet you may not have all the keys in your own hands, which I believe your quote is about ;)
You are going to be very wealthy in a year! 18 year old millionaire!
Haha **** yeah :D
Lol..while it's nice to dream, let's not exagerate. $10K invested would be probably around 1K in shares (at $10/share). Unless shares hit $1000/per in the next year, it'll be a while before a "millionare" is made :p
And if you meant 10,000 shares (at an average of $10/share), well, at 17 years old something tells me it wasn't all your money to begin with lol.
No I bought 500 at $7.80 and just doubled down the other day. $10,000 in with 1K shares.
Please enlighten us on that "something" that told you this? It would be interesting if you could cite your sources.
