$9.98!
Tour 9630 > Bold 9650 > Q10 > Classic or Passport???
We'll have to wait till may Q to have the end of EZ program and the first revenues on BES12; it's only by this way that BB can compensate the fall of BIS entries.
Just hope "Classic" will make a good start, specially in enterprise.
BUT, to be yet cash flow positive is a very good news.
revenue bottom in.
They make money on any phone they sell now, with a nice margin.
$9.65 at the moment.
How is it with the Options? At what point do they expire today?
This could be the main reason why the price is staying below $10
I was not too suprised about the HW figures since the supply has been very low of the Passport and all we have at the moment are just devices which were 9 months and older.
The Classic won't pull anything magical in the next Quarter and passport sales are highly limited because of limited sales channels....
Not losing any money was the most important part of this financial year and here we are posting the magical $0.01 EPS showing that the Ship has turned around!
All told I'm actually pretty happy with the Q3 results. Yea missing revenue socks however I think we all knew that
Was coming. Do I think we might drop some yes... bears will be bears; however that said they are starting to loose some footing in the larger picture as the company returns to a profitability stance. I think we all also realized that the real Rev target was around 800 mill and that over 900 was a fools dream. All in all I think we are on the right road.
Not to mention the steal from mobileiron to bes12 with passports and classics replacing ios devices putting some icing on the cake.

I always forget about the dropping BIS revenue.
I believe that most phones sold have been BB10 this Q
If all metrics are positive except revenue, then why does that matter so much? A business making money is making money. The business is now 'right-sized' targeting enterprise and not consumers. They are going to sell less hardware. If this was a start-up the stock would be much higher...?
When BlackBerry makes money without the main products, which will crate revenue shortly (BES 10, Classic), the future looks bright, IMO. After the initial drop of the SP I expect green very soon. Fingers crossed.

BlackBerry reports adjusted profit, but revenue disappoints
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/blackb...125147815.html
I am in the process of moving funds around. If shorts want to sell me cheap shares now I will be happy to sell them back at a much higher price. BlackBerry made a profit... how horrible on less revenue. That is great news as wait till bes12 revenues and all the other revenues hit. Pre market low volume.

This is nothing but good. Shares down 5%? I bet then end up UP 7% on the day after the CC.
Hardware is profitable. Cash up $43M and that INCLUDES a $35M outflow for acquisitions (Secusmart?). So would have been cash up $80M. Huge margins. BES 12 licenses now double but to 6.7M (and up from 5.1M what 4 weeks ago?). If people are move to BES 12 and support $ starts February...I don't see them bailing to another MDM. That is a weak argument now.
So all of these numbers are GOOD except revenue. So I say again, if revenue is down why does it matter? They still sold 2M phones. They are giving away BES right now. Hardware is making money so not a big deal if hardware revenue is down.
Morgan to chime in :)
Working fine on my Passport.
Remain cash flow positive.

Does anyone know how BlackBerry made 1 cent per share profit?
Perhaps as a result of an investment, sale, etc. that we are not aware of; doubtful it is from sales of their conventional products and services as both estimated revenues are down ... phones -5%, services -13%.
Cash has gone from $5B to $3B.
So how did they make 1 cent per share?
Why are the shares falling? Currently down -5.36% have been down as much as -7.5%.

Hopefully we see a rally up today. GLTA.
If your running 10.3.1 ****, you don't have flash capabilities.

J. Chen :
"Revenue not satisfying"
"Clearing our inventory" => inventory level down 93%
"ASP tacking back up again"
Passport : only fulfilled the backlog a few days ago - numbers are only sell through (i.e some not in Q)
Thanks for the suggestion -- it appears I already have Flash on. Is this the correct screen? Thanks

6.8 million EZ pass customers is extremely positive. They are taking a revenue hit this year to collect long term customers from the competition.
The hardware revenue was disappointing. The steep discounting in november managed to get them to clear all inventories of Z10/Q10/Z30 but cost them at the top line.
