That would appear to me to be a BlackBerry ad, not a Telus one. Chen must be hard at it with the carriers as well, pushing down prices set by old BlackBerry (lack of) marketing department.

Doesn't surprise me. Telus has been very supportive of BlackBerry through their tough times.
..at least at the corporate level - have met some less-than-open-minded salespeople....
Tip of the iceberg. Anything you want is in obamacare and very little security to stop it. The is no privacy for you personal data anymore. The Blackberry is not going to keep people from getting this information.
No, it was from Telus. When you click on the link it redirects to Telus. I exposed the link in my post. Z30, 0$, 2 years Telus.
Edit..Well, maybe you're right. Sender says Blackberry, from b.Blackberry.com...

In the email I got from "BlackBerry <[email protected]>".
When I click on the "shop now" button I am re-directed to Telus website.

No Term outright price:
Rogers $599.00
Bell $699.95
Telus $500.00
Yup... they don't really give much of a choice over at Bell and Rogers. Commit to a contract or overpay.

Some joker was dumb enough to post:
"There are few who will want to carry this large device with pointed corners. But the Blackberry fanboies will wear it arounf their necks!"
I liked his last post. He posted an article about apple being banned by the Chinese gov and then followed it with a post about AAPL hitting a record high sp. It tells me that a lot of people have no idea that BlackBerry and Apple have switch places in the mind of North Americans. In 2007 apple came from nowhere with the iPhone. BlackBerry said it was a fad and then tried to compete against a hiptop computer with an aging OS. Now apple is the goto device for many people (if price is not an object). The apple fans now poo-poo BB10, "too little, too late", "no ecosystem", "doa", yadda, yadda, yadda. But we (and Greg) suspect that the new OS and new direction for BlackBerry are signaling another sea change in the mobile handset landscape.
I don't get upset when Greg, et al post stuff. I want as many different opinions and points of view as I can get. It helps me form my opinion and keeps this thread from becoming a echo chamber.
Greg has gotten under the skin of a lot of people in here, it says something about him but is says something about them too. Maybe we all need to take a chill pill (Greg should take two)!

I get emails of new posts yet when I come to the thread they are not here.
Is the site having some technical issues?
Technical? No,..... philosophical? perhaps
CB10'n it via da Z...30
Did we break some Google posting rules or something? I did read a thread that they now control what content is posted here or the payola dries up. :rotfl:
Plausible....

I think a couple posts were edited/deleted for the purpose of keeping things calm.
OT, this story is "warming" Twitterverse:

May today be the day when BlackBerry hits short-squeeze and shoots up to $50. :)

Hi all, a fast jump-in to say hello; weather is autumn like but we feel good here and heading to Corsica next week (sun is 99.99% guaranteed there !). My average usage of anything connected drastically dropped under 15% of my time, my eyes say thank you every day and unmatched peace of mind is reached ;)
P.S: Don't give mods too much work, keep calm and carry on ! ;)
Cheers,
SF
OT but lends to security and need for more of it:

Has anybody seen an image of a passport plugged into a monitor or tv? I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like.
