No apologies needed buddy. I knew where you stood and I respect that. I just wanted to make sure that people continue to go to hospitals when they are sick. :)

M8, if I were you, I would go to the Princess Margaret Hospital at University of Toronto (or other affiliated hospital that treats meningitis, if that's what you have). If you in the east coast, I would drive down to Boston's Brigham and Woman Hospital at Harvard Medical School (or Massachusetts General Hospital).
The situation that you described didn't seem right to me.
If you go to Boston, let me know and I will explore to hook you up the best Doc there.

I don't have meningitis yet. I have a CSF specialist in Michigan and a Radiologist/MD in Buffalo who are doing a better job than my specialists here are doing. No one wants to deal with the blow-out in the CSF. I have top Doctors on the case but each one is so specilized its hard to achieve anything worthwhile. I see a new specialist in the days ahead, as soon as I can gather all of the documentation for him. We'll see. I might make a trip to the Mayo Clinic as well. I can't fly and I'm under quarrantee until further notice so that makes things even more difficult. Last night I started a cold and that's not something I need right now either! Man ................
I suffered two CSF leaks and the pain leading up to them is so intense that after the release, I feel like a million bucks and want to party after it occurs. The last one was on Christmas day, so we are building again. After the first CSK pop, I felt so much better we went out for Margaritas and Mexican food and had the best time! Then the pressure starts to build again ............
I can only speak for Canada but the medical school review process contains a significant weighting toward NAQ (non-academic qualities) as well as a gate-keeping interview process to weed these folks out.
I have heard plenty of anecdotal evidence of 4.0s with absurdly high MCAT scores not being accepted year after year.
Although the US private system structure as it is would definitely have an impact.

That's rough man, can't imagine the pain with that kind of pressure. Sounds like your innate inflammatory system is in over drive. Next time you see the specialist, ask him if an epidural injection of anti-inflammatory steroids would help. Your adaptive immune system should have kicked in by now, so shutting the innate system would reduce the pressure and degeneration of tissues without compromising your immunity against the viruses. An epidural itself would release some pressure as well.

Dislike. Trade you a ice rink driveway for that scenario.....

"QNX became an instant favorite of ours last year after we saw its Car Platform 2.0. This year, it showed a much more refined variant with a better, more-polished UI and really impressive audio quality. One of the more interesting features is that, while playing back music, you're still able to use voice control with the system because it knows what's currently playing and can remove that from your voice command. Simple right? Sure sounds like it, but we know it's likely outrageously complicated. We're definitely going to chase QNX down this year for some more live demos of its gear."

Morgan!
I know I speak for everyone here when I say I'm so grateful to have found this thread and to be privileged to your wise words and guidance. Your story and attitude are a true inspiration to me. I can appreciate your newfound perspectives resulting from your virus. I was terminally sick at a young age and surviving it shaped the man I have become. I love your resilience and aspirations to continue to travel and do what you love. Stay strong and healthy. Our well wishes and prayers go out to you and your family.
That being said, I'm thrilled to see you back in action, and sharing your advice and recommendations with us. I have to say I was really looking forward to subscribing to your BBM Channel, but I'm glad to read anything you are able to put out. There are not many people I can say I trust more than you. Following BlackBerry for the past two years has been one of the most educational experiences of my life (in so many different ways) and you have been the voice of reason behind it all along. Thank you!!!

Morgan, thanks so much for taking the time re the ONCS/INO review, very much appreciated. Last line is telling!!! Never thought I'd say this but BBRY seems much more predictable than this biotech stuff lol. Cheers sir.
Have been there two years ago for the Bucharest Biennial. Love this city! So strange, you have all the socialist buildings there, empty, raining into the rooms, but guarded by a porter. They seem like ruins of temples, without real function, but still demonstrating power to the people. Then you have this artistic community working offside a real national market, who slowly appropriate those buildings. It's a city in transition, so definitely you'll find some great vibes!
You are so lucky! I watched them when they were on TV. Was a good show with lots of funny characters.
LoL. Love it!

BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY): BlackBerry Short Interest Falls Off The Cliff - Seeking Alpha
Saturday nights are busy at the ol Lingnan ...she was there in here gold dress, perfect hair and impeccable make up lol...exuberant "Hello, How are you" and hugs for everyone...she is awesome. The place has been there since the late 40's and is in a bit of a dive area but the food and entire staff are wonderful..
Three generations serving with the forth busing tables and learning the ropes haha.

Hi Morgan8,
Since you love windows (loL) so much, they are making it better for you.
Windows is trying to change it's name for better. Not sure if BlackBerry use QNX some how?

Just to keep this around for memory's sake:
BlackBerry Ltd upgraded by RBC thanks to new CEO’s ‘pragmatic approach’ | Financial Post
In a note to clients delivered on Friday, Mr. Sue upgraded shares of BlackBerry to “sector perform” and raised his price target on the stock to US$10. Mr. Sue’s upgrade comes exactly one week after he raised his price target on the stock to US$6.
“The company has significant long-term challenges, yet de-risking the balance sheet may give the company something it’s not had before: time and flexibility to recompose its four business segments,” Mr. Sue said in the research note.
“Unlike the prior management team, which bet the farm on a failed device, the new executive team is taking a pragmatic approach to stabilizing the challenged handset business, charting a course towards financial break-even metrics and working to differentiate its products and services.”
Mr. Sue now expects tangible book value at $3.07 per share and net-case of $2.88 per share in 12 months.
...
“BlackBerry’s gross margins of 34% include negative handset margins, which post the Foxconn deal may increase to about +10%,” Mr. Sue said in the note.
“Going forward, BlackBerry will let others take on the planning, production and inventory related risks, helping the company further improve its working capital requirements. Blended mix may further help margins look better and BlackBerry may prove the current consensus gross margin outlook as too bearish.”
I am still unclear on QNX's strategy and whether or not it will become a revenue stream fro BBRY but reading this and various other CES pieces, I am reminded that Qualcomm was once reportedly working with Mike L. and others towards a buyout. Stritcly a personal opinion based on no hard facts, but it seems to me QNX has an image issue similar to that of BBRY-pre JC. They have been at this car stuff forever but they are always mentioned as an also-ran.
AT&T leads the charge into ‘connected’ cars - FT.com
Other companies including BlackBerry’s QNX unit are also positioning themselves to be the platform of choice for infotainment and connected car systems. “Automakers need three things as they adapt to emerging market requirements,” says Grant Courville, director of product management at QNX. “They need reliability, security and flexibility”.
He, like John Chen, BlackBerry’s recently appointed chief executive, insists QNX is uniquely positioned to deliver this set of capabilities to automakers, most of which are already QNX customers. Another advantage QNX claims is that its software runs on a wide variety of chips, including those manufactured by Qualcomm.
The mobile chipmaker announced a new “hardened” chip set – the Snapdragon 602 – designed specifically for the auto market during CES. The new chip set will support Bluetooth, WiFi and LTE cellular connections, turning a vehicle into a rolling hotspot ready to serve up personalised content to every screen in the vehicle.
Among its advantages, Qualcomm cites its support for multiple types of hands-free control including gesture and voice recognition.
Qualcomm will, however, face a host of competitors in the emerging connected car market including Nvidia, Texas Instruments and Freescale.
