When a company announces either better than expected or worse earnings ahead of the ER, how long before is it typically announced?
UGH -
Anyone else in the US notice on TMobile's front page that the Q10 is shown in a box, labeled as COMING SOON?
WTH, TMO?
on now
It's available today though, according to their site for $99.99 plus $20 per month for 24 months.:

"TWeet @cnbcfastmoney to tell us who you think won" - Pete (pro-BBRY) or not...
I kind of liked that debate

2 in favor, 1 bear. No decent analysis for either side. Still a free win for BlackBerry

I know - once you click on it - but it isn't even showing as available on the front page! Unreal how little love BBRY is getting in the US. C'mon Verizon, you're launch on Monday will be HUGE!
Lmao they were actually positive on most points
Watch bbry shoot up a bit lol
Well that was pleasant! Pete mentioned the Z10 bringing back market share in Canada, that BB owns the qwerty board segment worldwide and that it is well positioned to own a piece of the pie. The argument was that it is too late now as Google, Samsung and Apple control the market. He didn't have much else to say here and so Pete won the first round. Then it was mentioned that BB has zero debt, plenty of cash and BES10 and that alone will be successful as a software play. We came out of this one as winners and now it is up to the public, you know, the 17 people who continue to watch this show, to vole for the winner!!!
Thats installed base, not market share. The caption even says so (in French) (Installed base per platform).
Quit pretending to know differences. When BBRY BB10 is outselling NOK in all areas of western Europe, and has a bigger installed base, our point is there is zero merit to the bashing bear-led stories of Windows overtaking BB anywhere.
Yes, we know that no one is buying BB7 in the US today (last new phone was from 2011) - ok - BB10 is now live - so move on please.
Yes, well perception in investing is important. If the average investor and/or institution perceives that BB/BBRY is going to be around and are in the game and are a legitimate competitor to Apple and Google, then watch out.
That is all we are missing. The number are the numbers and they can help drive this perception change, but if it is already happening ahead of Q1 release?
I like.
Wikipedia says 20 days which is this Saturday

Thank you. (My thanks button is missing at the moment)
Research In Motion Limited (BBRY) Short Interest - NASDAQ.com
Yeah, it went up by 6 million shares.
BBRY already replied to someones note to investor relations (from early this AM, and said they are in fact in that quiet period - so don't expect anything to come out prior to ER.
Fortunately, that's old data - only thru 5/15 - new numbers for thru 5/31 after COB on 6/11. Our point is it will be MUCH higher by then based on massive sell-off
Ya... I read that one too but I am under the understanding that quite often, during the quiet period ahead of earnings, a company will issue a "warning" ahead of the ER. I'm not holding my breath and I could be off base here but it's still something that would be a welcome announcement, should it be on the positive side.
The "too late" argument, especially when it comes to tech, is ridiculous to me. There's no such thing, as companies take turns as leaders in various cycles and as tech rapidly changes.
Breaking News!!!
The Twitter count has Pete Naj as the offiicial winner!! We won 11 - 6 with Pete's Mom voting twice. Hard to believe an old lady knew how to setup two twitter accounts!!! Look at the stock go!
