We just touched the top of the trendline that formed over the last 3 days.

There's a billion dollars in share purchases held waiting at $10 because of the debenture.

If BBRY wants to avoid paying for share prices above $10, they would start making lump share repurchases now at this price level through other institutions to choke off the market.

At some point the repurchasing rate of that $1 billion dollar debenture is going to trigger short covering.

The short panic will be glorious.

IMHO - I doubt that will happen. They won't exercise right at $10 but will wait. These are going to be NEW and DILUTIVE shares issued by BBRY directly so they won't effect the # of shares available on the market right away and in fact will ADD shares to the float. When exercised they will be dilutive and normally that would drive the share price down, helping the shorts. I don't think BBRY wants to burn cash buying back its own shares at this point.

There may be plenty of reasons for the shorts to worry, but the conversion under the agreement may not be one of them.

Very possible or at least the possibility of it. I know everybody here wants to see lots of green everyday, but let me suggest as I did just before Christmas at the 825-850 level, that a pause or slight pull back after a run up is a very healthy thing and EXACTLY what I would want to see if I was long BBRY. The trend and momentum is your friend now, hopefully Chen's salesforce is also hitting the pavement and telling corporations to take a peak at the stock price and that BBRY is on the rise and will be around for a while and maybe, maybe.... even cool again.....

Off to meet with a part time financial advisor. His firm is small and runs about $750M but they are good at what they do....

To be honest, I am sort of hoping we don't have too ridiculous a surge in stock price just yet. As a small fry investor, I'd like another few months of buying BB at a good price before a steady rise over the next few years. I was able to buy a bunch at $6, but I'd be nervous buying a whole lot more over $10 at this point.

Tng.v is on a tear since I mentioned it here! Announced another partnership today. Yesterday was samsung today toshiba, this stock looks like there are a lot of room for growth. Not a short term thing though, bought 20k shares yesterday at $.28
