Take this with a pinch of salt but the managing director of India said windows support on BES10 will be out within a month or so. As well as OS 10.2.2 will allow users to download android apps.

If true, perhaps we might see Bbm for desktop much sooner and full integration of Google play? Who knows.

Can't paste url on cb app. Head over to berryflow.com for the post and link to article.

Here you go : Arrival of Windows Support on BES 10, Price Cut of Q5 in India, Hints of OS 10.2.2 Update, and More -

The Economic Times has reported a healthy, albeit salty dose of BlackBerry news today. With BlackBerry releasing a statement saying Alicia Keys will be relieved of her Global Creative Director position at the end of the month, the company is certainly wasting no time on steering the direction towards a brighter future.
One of the first things the company will be executing in the new year is cutting the price of the Q5 in India from Rs 25,000 to below Rs 20,000 to hopefully reach more audience. Sunil Lalvani, managing director for BlackBerry in India, says that the quarter ended November 30 saw 60% of its total revenues coming from Software and Services compared to a year ago where 65% of revenues came from hardware. The combination of both would be the result of the shift from a hardware-centric organization to a software and services-driven company.
Lalvani also added that the “BES worked only with BlackBerry. BES10 works with Apple’s iOS and Android as well and will add Windows within a month or so”.
BlackBerry would also offer QNX technologies in India allowing machines to communication with each other as a new revenue line in emerging markets.
Lalvani continues on saying that the price cut is just the beginning of what the company plans to do. The managing director establishes the fact that BlackBerry will be targeting the niche market rather than competing in the mass market. He also hints at the next OS update of 10.2.2 will allow users to download many Android apps onto the BlackBerry 10 phones.
Judging from what Lalvani has stated, if true, we could potentially see BBM being brought over to Windows platform sooner than we think. Also, OS 10.2.2, as hinted by Lalvani, could spell full integration of Google support on BlackBerry 10 devices perhaps. Obviously, we would have to wait for official announcements from BlackBerry to confirm whether or not they are true. Click below for the full article.

I believe so. I only started to use it since I got a gift card for Christmas. Not sure if you can buy online or not.

EDIT - It seems you should just have to buy your fist one then can register on the TImmies site to reload at your leisure or set up an auto reload via your credit card. It looks really quite convenient for those that frequent Tims.

Thanks for the info. Now that I started searching on line this is what I ran in to. I assume people selling their gift cards at discount. LoL
20% on tim and 16% discount on wendy's and others. LoL.

I wonder if wendy's accepts blackberry NFC payments?

Edit. Sorry forgot to post link

And those that don't frequent Tims, but like this stuff.
I visit Canada/Toronto about twice a year, and yes I have the Timmy app on my Z10 - it's just cool to tap your phone and done...LOL

Enjoy the snow, mid-estern NA friends.

Correct. You need a card number and card PIN first. Then you register and load some bucks on the card and Tim's you uncle!

The app is simple and smooth to use.

Recommend you make the "Pay Now" the default screen. That way when you open the app all you do is hit "pay now" after telling them you are using a Tim's card to pay. When they stick their hand out looking for the card I stack my hand out and ask for their card reading handheld unit and say "Watch BlackBerry at work". "Only on BlackBerry".

I just came home a few minutes ago with two medium blacks, double cupped (cause they are friken hot) and at the drive thru the woman sees me and say "I know. Using the BlackBerry" LoL
