Nice one. Especially this update at the end: "Update: There's already a firewall app in Google Play that protects against the exploit. Thanks, Chipsy4!"

I laughed out loud at that...

If you're running a platform where you have to add a firewall through an app, I think your platform may not be very secure. ;-)
Fast builded firewall ... something wrong with these words together ?

"Already" could as easily mean "pre-existing". It may not have been something they just built since the exploit was found.

(Alternatively, it may be a trivial app that reconfigures something to avoid the issue, and not a true firewall.)

    Either way, my point stands.

No, I think organic growth is more what you want. Did Twitter really advertise at the beginning (or ever)? Did Facebook? Or any other social media experiment? If they did, I've certainly never seen it.

Grass-roots support, gradual growth, market to the potential paying customers (i.e. companies and others who may be willing to pay a premium for... whatever). Don't waste your money "advertising" to non-paying customers who would come and look at it now and say "meh, nothing much here yet" and lead to more mass negativity in the media.

Agree...I think what CHEN should do is sponsor NFL, NHL, NBA...all of em, WHA, OHL, QHL...EVERY ONE OF THEM...provide the expert to create, support and train for kick azz channels for the building,(with map of the arena link), ticket info (with purchase link), player profiles, deals to channel users (with links) and a very public announcement of these deals similar to how Betman and Rodgers did their NHL announcement on Tuesday.

In short...get the sports, then the concerts, then the attractions, theatres, tourist spots etc...help them succeed, and in turn grow organically through them.

    Now for a drink.

Lol nice find. I myself don't understand why CB allows these obvious BlackBerry haters to post nonsense and made up stories on CB? Are they paid posters or sad people wasting their lives in negativity and anger?

I don't know the expression, but if I know my French accents that would be more like "hasten slowly", for which we don't have our own expression that I'm aware of, though we know the idea. Google suggests "more haste, less speed" may be close too. The latin phrase festina lente shows up a lot too.

Oh, and look at that. Festina lente - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And it's even got a symbol. :-)

Quoting from wikipedia: The meaning of the phrase is that activities should be performed with a proper balance of urgency and diligence. If tasks are rushed too quickly then mistakes are made and good long-term results are not achieved. Work is best done in a state of flow in which one is fully engaged by the task and there is no sense of time passing. "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."

    Hah... "flow" again. Parfait!

Good morning gang. I've been a way for a bit but thought I'd drop in on you guys to see how you all are doing. Everything here is fine and I hope you all are also. I'm at work bored so I'm looking at these cheap share prices and getting very tempted.

    Hey LCJR,

Any new news you can share about BES10 or BB10 adaption by DOD since your last update?
    Thanks.

    Hahahha,

    Examples of FLACCID

<the flaccid stalks of celery that had been around for far too long>
Virgil Thomson, in his review of the evening, called the libretto flaccid and spineless, but that is unfair. It is a witty piece of writing. J. D. McClatchy, New Republic, 29 Nov. 1993

I wonder if BlackBerry would consider acquiring a company like Secusmart, in order to provide the additional software/hardware required by these government agencies.

When a company or business needs BlackBerrys to be secured, why not purchase the additional layers of security from BlackBerry itself?

    Actually no! ;-)

I spent considerable time investigating (thus saving all of you loads of your own... donations welcome!), and "hurry up and wait" has different connotations. That's used when, for example, you have to rush to the doctor's office but pretty much know that when you get there you'll be stuck for an hour and forty-five minutes waiting to be seen.
