A far more important question is can Chen and Prem dance?
I think recent experience has shown us Prem can, except if you dance with him you wake up with a hang over and a very bad surprise 9 months later....

    Lemonade from lemon...

Would Prem had put down the additional $250 mil of he didn't believe that the SP will go over $10?
What did he know that we don't?
What was the information that convinced the banks to drop their $ millions?

Just trying to see if us small fishes might get some crumbs from the shark feasts.
He gets a guaranteed 6% a year on the 250M, and it gets better for him if it goes over 10. It's a win-win. He is first in line in a bankruptcy (before the common shareholders) with his bonds.

So is it your opinion that Chen can be "The Voice" of reason for BlackBerry when it comes to the media and investors?

We have Prem onboard again, he is an expert in insurance right? Can't he insure that BlackBerry will succeed and if they fail, we all can make a claim for $ 10 billion bucks? I say we insure the company and burn it down.
Is "Fat Tony" D'Amico of the Legitimate Businessman's Social Club one of the new investors?

Which doesn't mention bb10 and has a line about device strategy that could mean "Boyd" is the only game in time.
And now they have cancelled the BB Jam (Europe) conference.

Even in this case, He might make more money, depending on FF's deductible to Lloyd's of London. LoL

    LOL...
People often asked me "is there anything that you can't do?" I gave the same answer every time "I can't sing!"
I thought that Bathroom can make most people sing? LoL.
May be not. My statement about Docs, stands correct.

No one volunteered to get on stage and say "We are so excited to announce our partnership with mega, where all of your apps are going to be hosted for free! And you don't have to do anything! No pesky consent or legal agreements to sign. We'll copy all your work over for you!

"oh by the way, that's it. You can all go home now. Thanks for coming!"

I believe the article was about 3 major German corporations have upgraded to BES10. It is good news regardless if it is significant or not.
The side note about 25K installed/testing is also likely to be a fact and that's a significant number, so good news.
A year ago this was 20,000. 5000 more a year later sucks.

    BlackBerry Jam

We've taken a look at how to best meet our goals with BlackBerry events. As part of this process, we have made the decision that we will not be hosting BlackBerry Jam Europe in 2014.

We will continue to engage with our developers in more focused ways, designed with a greater emphasis on the opportunities we have to talk to our developers about what matters most to you.

Not sure I get what you mean.
dit : either an app is free, and it does not change much, or it has been hacked and illegally distributed in the wild.
But it's obvious most users will rely on reputed stores to dl apps and pay if necessary.
This sounds much more legit and fair to developers than the current "shadow" sideloading process.
    P.S: I'm dev too.

If they allow direct apk downloads then they are begging for people to set up bootleg app stores. It's just too easy.

The cost of the app doesn't matter. Our apps are free, but we definitely don't want them running on non-Android phones. If BB goes through with this they are trampling all over their developer relationships.

I see this as incredibly desperate and unprofessional.
