You seem to feeding the trolls here my friend! You know, "I'm here because I own the stock but I'm so afraid they will fail that I might have to cut my wrists". "Oh, here is a nice picture of our friend, Apple".
Then there are the articles they fail to post:

Just laughable.09-20-13 10:11 AMLike 12 - Is that also you on DND? haha. Now why couldn't BBRY correct itself like that after the big sell off?sidhuk and plasmid_boy like this.09-20-13 10:11 AMLike 2
- Well, BB just need to make something that works and cool. BBM embodies all that. (did you see that Indian music video?) LOL09-20-13 10:11 AMLike 3
- To be fair, some of those people might be upgrading from dumb phones or much older iPhones, so might be a huge improvement for them. Most iPhone user will be happy with the upgrade to iOS7. Most iPhone users I know periodically come to me asking for help with their phones. The previous iterations are still too complicated for them, so they are not really looking for anything innovative. They just want something that works and perceived as cool.
My observation is that the iPhone crowd has become a group of people that don't know and don't care about technology, but that's ok.09-20-13 10:14 AMLike 7 - CJ!!

iphone users do not technology??? That is bb phone is such a failure guess.
Live in bay area here, pretty much everyone owns iphone from the people in Apple, ebay, yahoo, oracle, HP, Salesforce.com, even google.09-20-13 10:17 AMLike 0 -

Edit: do you know technology? Tell me what kind of technology (both hardware and software) in the newest iPhone 5S that are more technologically advanced than BB's newest phone Z30.09-20-13 10:22 AMLike 3 - Based on history, you better sell before he does too.. then buy back in... hahahaplasmid_boy and sidhuk like this.09-20-13 10:25 AMLike 2
- Jebus, thats a lot of people waiting in line to get their finger prints scanned!
Why would anyone in their right mind wait in such a long line to get a phone that is only incrementally improved over even two generations ago?
Even when Z10 came out, and my ol' 9810 was hanging on, I still waited a week or so .... and it's not like there are lines for BB's
This really speaks to the idiocy of a large percentage of the worlds population.09-20-13 10:26 AMLike 2 -
- Sssshhhh. Morgan, be very very quiet. Don't want to make Super spill his wine that he's bottling.
Spent all day yesterday polishing my trigger. Finally pulled it this morning. Now, I'm wearing my Halo.
Go BlackBerry! Gotta throw him off the scent.
Thanks Morgan. I'll owe ya.
We both know that Superfly is your typical Frenchman, right about now he is on his third glass of wine and second baguette, probably some fine cheese too, so we can begin a countdown to his evening nap and get a chart of HALO out there for all to see. I just sold the rest of my ACAD and will be buying a lot more HALO in the next couple of days. GO BLACKBERRY!!!!09-20-13 10:28 AMLike 11 -

- I said, MY observations and my circle of people. Moreover, people working for Apple, ebay, yahoo, etc doesn't necessary mean that they know or care about technology. There are about 10,000 people working here (a medical school), I would say less than a few hundred knows the medicine that they take (even most doctors don't know).
Like Dr. David Derry once said," If you listen closely to your patient, they will tell you what is wrong. And if you listen even more closely, they will tell you the cure".
The above quote is so true not only in medicine but also majority situations in life. Even in stock buying. But very few people out there who have the skills to Liston "closely". Most just follow the trend and there is nothing wrong with that as long it works for them IMO.09-20-13 10:38 AMLike 5 - I agree these are all potential customers!
The important question is how quicly adoption takes place for BBM downloads. If i've got BBM and my buddies don't or are slow to load it, then i'll just default back to what i was using before. That's one of the reasons why whatsapp doesn't get as much love from me anymore. Everthing else is easy because they either have iMessage, Hangouts or SMS.
I think BBRY could really kill it if they were able to convince more OEM's to pre-load it like that Indian Android maker. It would be even better if there was a way to make it the default messenger so instead of potential users, they would be actual users.
I'm holding all of my BB shares thru ER. If, as some people are allowing for, the SP drops, I'll be in there pulling the trigger big time.09-20-13 10:39 AMLike 4 -
If my phone got that look, I would seriously consider switching, no matter how functional it is.
Fortunately for me, the ipad belongs to my 3 year old.
I think he will like it.09-20-13 10:43 AMLike 4 - Well they updated BB Bridge so that BBM is now accessible. Too bad Channels doesn't cross over too.plasmid_boy and bungaboy like this.09-20-13 10:44 AMLike 2

I'll probably go hunting later this afternoon for more. Next week, I might try on a new Acad jacket and a couple Halo's.

- Nice touch BB!
Just got an update notification for BlackBerry Bridge.
"This new version will allow you to BBM text chat on the PlayBook when Bridged with a BlackBerry 10 smartphone"
Version: 3.2.0.809-20-13 10:53 AMLike 5 - This applies to me too. I work more than 10 hours a day in the lab, lecture hall, conferences, etc. I don't get to talk to 'normal' people often enough. Holding a nice conversation with people outside my field is hard for me. So, on the weekends I would walk around my neighborhood and greet people "yo, what hanging dude?" They looked at me strangely because they knew that I am a professor (stereotyping). But when the chitchat starts, I struggle to hang on. One time a neighbor asked "what exactly are you working on?" After 10 mins of me yapping away, he looked over to his wife and said 'Liz, you got a BS in chemistry, do you understand what he is saying?" She tried to brushed him off and embarrassingly shuck her head. At that point I stopped and said "basically, I am trying to find a way to slow or stop our brain from decaying as we get old."
I struggle to talk with my team (mostly PhD students and Postdocs) too, so I use a lot of diagrams, imagery, metaphors, etc., ( such as the Viagra cartoon I posted here) but it's tough...09-20-13 10:56 AMLike 7 - Superfly_FRRetired Moderator09-20-13 11:00 AMLike 3
