I tried my brand new gadget box and ruler yesterday (thanks to BlackBerry giving me $25 free), and I couldn't get mine to extend outside the box. I'll have to try it again tonight, when I'm alone.

In any case, Randeman was mistaken that going with a Z30 would give him 20 extra inches in that it's maximum screen size is only 5 inches. But don't feel bad man, the average size is precisely 5 inches. I heard that Porsche drivers are a little shorter, but not sure if that's true.

Ahh yes! I am indeed and I am hard at work trying to get to it. Unfortunately due to work constraints at my job I haven't had time to focus on getting it up and running(been working some gross 14-16 hour days lately).

Regardless my timeline for it is to hopefully have a beta up and running by the end of September and then testing complete into the first little bit of october.

Any volunteers to help me test the beta?
Also any ideas on what we might want to call this wonderland to be?

Please PM me with answers to both questions as I would like to keep the OT discussions here to a minimum.

Ya know those damn articles that claim Windows is taking over BB in US... Well to be honest, they may have a 1% larger market share, but I bet you if you analyzed data for North America as a whole, BB would be up on Windows by possible double digits. Windows must a tiny percentage in Canada while BB is still pretty strong. Just my thoughts.

Then again, US has 10X the population... so anything is possible. But I'm thinking even if BB had a 10 percent Market share in Canada and MS had 2-3, that is much better compared to MS having say 3 compared to BB's 2 in the US...

Guys, we had a few extra stocks watched here and since they were few and occasional, it was really OK.
But - and let me first thank you, M+8 for your time and free advices - I think we are slipping in an area that is not accurate here.
I have concerns regarding some kind of "responsibility" of the contributors and maybe CB too. This may be understood as incentive (I for one am tempted) by newcomers or occasional readers.

I have no real suggestion to bring on the table ...

It's reassuring to see the share price have some resilience in the face of the negative news of the last two days.

That said, depending on the day I'm all over the place about where the share price will go in the 12+ months ahead. Sometimes I see it trading sideways or downward, never breaking $13 again, and other days I see a clear path towards a large pop. Being this invested and interested in a stock is new to me, but I'm finding this company to be very, very difficult to analyze.

For the record, I'm long shares and calls through the earnings, unless something convinces me otherwise. Thought about puts, but too pricey for what I think the downside risk would be from this earnings call.

I have been thinking about this all afternoon and I have to agree with you, BBM-X could be huge. When you look at the experience with Skype you have to wonder if it can survive against BBM. The potential is amazing and the advertising for BlackBerry is huge, .... just getting it out there! They actually own something that people don't want to hate on, and they can add more features as they go. Let's hope they are prepared to spin it off as a separate entity if need be. I am truly pumped about BB 10.2 and BBM-X not to mention a Z30 running both!
