Ya, why is the html 5 spec, which I don't even think is finalized, not being supported?

Interesting data point over on a thread called 'BlackBerry going viral'

The developer posted his breakdown of sales of his app 'noted'. Sample size of 1400.

The US is now roughly even with Canada with Indonesia a strong third.

    Fwiw.

    That's pretty obvious though, right?

The thing is, the phones launched in Canada well before the US, so at one point the US sales were 0% of the Canadian ones. After awhile they were (for my apps) something like 30%. If they're up close to 100% now it's phenomenal news... unless it's because Canadian sales are dropping.

I'll check my data, but I know already that sales haven't been increasing significantly for me, so I don't expect I'll conclude from my own data anything particularly positive here.

200 million customers at $100/device makes a $20B market. If BBRY takes 10% of the MDM market, that is a whopping $2 billion in revenues. Big ******* deal.

Actually, let's say that 30% of that goes to FCF. That's $600m in FCF. Not bad, but wit ha 10x multiple that only represents $6B in terms of value created.

We'll need to start using Vodka *in place* of the water, pretty soon to make up for the crap we've been drinking lately

Well, if it was the one and only source of income, I can see your point but if it is an added source, I really don't see where your problem lies.

    Let's see:

    - Full QTR of Q10 (which can still surprise us)
    - Deep discounting of Z10
    - Q5 sales (to which target demographic no one seems to know, but the have to sell SOME somewhere *or may completely surprise us)
    - Probable rollout of OS 10.1xxx (or whichever update gets rid of nagging reboots) in the US.
    - Good vibes from 10.2 update, seems to address many complaints.
    - some reasonably decent app additions between now and then. ie. Unity news from yesterday.
    - BBM X platform, would that shake up sales positively?
    - Android runtime (assuming that it works well)

What are Q2 sales expectation again? Was the projection the same as Q1? Is it possible that we may actually beat it despite Thorsten's projection?

Edit: added BBM X and Android runtime to the list based on a couple of responses. Actually, now that I write everything down... Q2 may prove surprising!

I belive the projection is no certain profit this next quarter. I'm hoping we at least beat that.

That projection may also keep BB from getting bashed so hard on the next ER.

Agreed, it will soften the blow... That and the 3 step plan outlined. But what about BB10 sales/added user base for Q2?
