what happened today is one of the options we chose to ignore.

Trading in the first few minutes is often a sucker's bet. Your money, but unless you have a huge account, you aren't going to be the first one out the door and sometimes it is better to avoid the stampede and exit gracefully a little later on.... JMHO!!!

they would have been in line with their 'guidance' of approaching breakeven at least. I for one let the hype overtake my common sense, learning valuable investing lessons here as in a swift one upside the head. Too many talking heads started talking about a squeeze etc. should have been a warning sign, should have trusted what TH was sayin in the first place

Right. And if they blew away earnings and started a slow squeeze you'd be saying "this was too risky. i shouldn't have done this. i should have listened to Thor."

I wasn't expecting it to happen anyway, but I really don't know what they're thinking there.

No, lets be honest with ourselves here.

BB10 on the Playbook would have been a complete headache for device compatibility. They'd have to code it so that it could bridge with both BB7 and BB10 phones or they'd be dumping features.

Going forwards to 10.2, they'd be adding features the playbook wouldn't be able to implement.

Still, I want BB10-lite on my damned Playbook. Keep the UI the same but give us Cascades, the new browser, USB Host and headless apps.

That's not a lot to ask for, and it keeps the BB World market from undergoing further fragmentation.
